Are you looking for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Member blog hop???

I'm sorry to announce that there's no Counterfeit Kit Challenge Members' blog hop this month :-(

It would appear that it must be a busy time of the year because we received NO sign-ups from our followers for the hop.

If this makes you as sad as it makes us, then make sure you jump on board next month by sharing your creations to any of the three challenges which will be posted during the first half of the month. You will find instructions for how to join in on the hop at the bottom of the November kit reveal post as well as each of the three challenges.

In the meantime, why not jump over to our Mr Linky page (here) and check out all the fabulous shares over there. Be sure to leave some love at each of your stops and don't forget to link up your own creations for others to enjoy.

Challenge #3: Use an Idea Previously Saved

Queen Laura is back with our final challenge of the month...she has been keeping us hopping!

Challenge #3:  Use an idea previously saved!

Do you save ideas about scrapping on your phone?  Make a quick sketch of a layout in a notepad?  Do you pin magazine cut outs to a cork board or do this virtually on Pinterest?  If you do, like me, you'll have a stack of ideas saved for later, but when is later?  I often forget to go back and actually use these gems.  This challenge is to use an idea you have previously saved - be it a scribble on a scrap of paper or a like on Instagram.  Share the idea with us, too, so we can add it to our lists!

Do you think our DT has a list of ideas somewhere?  Let's see what they brought out to show us!

Lynnette was inspired by this pin from pinterest to make a border with her wood veneers.  Check out more on her blog here.

Margie was inspired by Wilna's Art and Design Class at Big Picture Classes, and this pin on Pinterest to create this page:

You can read more about it on her blog!

Challenge #2: Confetti Challenge!

We have another great challenge from Queen Laura!

When I was looking for a kit for us to Counterfeit, I checked out Ashley Calder's Etsy Shop.  Unfortunately, the kits are a little too small to base a whole month of scrapping on.  I couldn't get them out of my head, though, so this challenge is inspired by THIS KIT.  On the far right hand side of the picture is a bag of awesome confetti.

Challenge #2:  Use confetti on your layout.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

Confetti Tape on Etsy

I think the DT is done cleaning up the messes they made with all that confetti and are ready to share with you now...

LesleyG used one of her favourite punches to create her confetti

Jemma has had fun with her butterfly-shaped confetti:

Julene used some white confetti on a card

All Hail the Queen!

Our lovely Queen, Laura, has a wonderful take on her ribbon challenge that did not seem to make the post on Monday.  I apologize for that.  I do want to make sure you get a great look at it!

I am seriously in a gold rush lately.  Love it!  And using it for a bow is just the right touch.  I love how she layered her title over it.  Do you spy the other ribbon on her page?  Head over to HER BLOG for a closer look at the pretty details.

Laura has some other great projects coming up, so be on the lookout for those!

Challenge #1: I love Ribbon!

Our sassy Queen Laura is ready with our first challenge!

Challenge #1:  Ribbon Challenge:  I LOVE RIBBON!  It's a bit of an obsession.  Use ribbon somewhere on your layout/project.  Here are a couple of ideas to help you on your way...

Scrapbook.com: You Color My World Layout

Scrapbookclubhouse: Happy Thoughts Card

We are getting crafty with ribbon around here:  Hit it, ladies!

LesleyG has been very creative (not!) with the use of ribbon.

Susanne has made the most of two scraps of ribbon for a card. Wonder what she's got under wraps there?

See Leslie's story of her page HERE

Now that you're inspired, it's your turn to have a go!

Hey...I Can Make THAT!

Did we SURPRISE you?

Didn't mean to startle you...it's just your friends at Counterfeit Kit!
We are here just a few days earlier than usual.
Our tutorials post will now be every month on the 4th so you can dovetail these fabulous forgeries into your kits WHILE you are building your kit.

Counterfeit Kit Challenge...YOUR SOURCE for tutorials every month on the 4th!

CKC October Tutorials

Welcome to "Hey...I Can Make THAT!"
A monthly post to help you truly counterfeit many of the components of the current month's kit.  No need to go out and purchase...just use the supplies you already have to create some of the freshest and trendiest products out there.  Here you will find links to our amazing design team members' blogs and/or links to other craft sites on the web showing how to counterfeit these must-have products.

Laura, our Counterfeit Queen winner, chose a pretty, feminine kit for our counterfeiting pleasure from Hey Little Magpie.  Take a look at its loveliness here:

Leslie forged the woodgrain/floral paper & tossed in a few handmade bows.

Did you notice the Heidi Swapp embellishments in the inspiration kit?  Lynnette found the following video which includes sneaky and clever forgeries of Heidi's handiwork.  Watch and be amazed on how you YOU can incorporate her signature style into your kit.

We hope that bringing you these tutorials a bit earlier in the month will help you with your kit making process.  You can do it!

Prize Surprise!

So, have you checked out the kit, and the lovely "counterfeits" that have been made? Are you feeling inspired? We have some extra motivation for you all to get busy making and using your kits this month! One of our Master Forgers, Margie, had so much fun with the inspiration kit, that she made a second kit to give away!  Here is the Counterfeit Kit that is up for grabs:

How do you win? It's easy! Participate in the Mr. Linky this month, and the winner will be drawn via Random.org from there!

*Please note-this will be open to international participants as well, as long as they are willing to contribute any shipping costs that surpass $10.00. If an international winner is drawn and does not wish to cover additional shipping costs, a new winner will be drawn.

Have fun! We hope to see lots of participation this month!

October Mr. Linky

October Counterfeit Kit Reveal and Hop

Our pool is closed for the year.  I am getting my fall decorations out and switching to cinnamon scents for our candles.  I have pinned a lot of ideas for Isabel's birthday party in November.  It is FALL!  We are anticipating another frigid winter, so we are going to be better prepared here in Indiana with a better stock of wood for the fireplace and additional heaters to prevent frozen pipes this time.  I am stocking up my pantry, too, to prevent freezing trips to the grocery.  I think it might be a good idea to stock up on kits for those chilly days and long football games on the television.

I would like to welcome LAURA from Beads Buttons and Birds won our Queen for the Month Contest a few months ago and we are handing the reins over to her!

My name is Laura and I’m from Sussex, UK.  At 14 I was diagnosed with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and I have been mainly housebound since then.  My current health situation is poor and I sleep more than I am awake.  I'm much more of a list maker than a writer so here are a few lists about me…

Who Am I?
Daughter, Sister, Auntie, Big Cousin, artist, mess maker!

My Creative Side
Crafter, scrapbooker, painter, part-time beader, Crafty Ribbons DT member, photographer

My Passions
Nature lover, bird watcher, Liverpool FC supporter, tennis fan, nail painter, arctophile, listener of boybands

To Sum Me Up
Dreamer, positive attitude

Welcome, Laura!  We are happy to have you!

Laura's pick for our October Kit is from Hey Little Magpie.  She loved their limited edition kit.  It was so limited edition that it is no longer on their site, but I did snag the photos of it when she first shared it with me, so we are still in luck!

Hey Little Magpie Vintage Floral Limited Edition Kit:  It is full of pretty florals and a soft pallet.  We loved the idea of the bows and the see through word embellishments.  Great kit!

Our Master Forgers had a fun time pulling together their kits and can't wait to show you!

Blog Hop Order:

Laura has some great challenges lined up for us this month, so be sure to stop back in!
