Been Caught Stealing...Introducing our May 2011 Guest Counterfeiter

We are proud to introduce our May 2011 Guest Counterfeiter, Jennifer!  She will be playing along this month, making a Counterfeit Kit of her own, and joining in the mini challenges.  We are very excited to showcase some of her work throughout the month of May 2011.  And now, to get to know her a little better we will let her introduce herself...

"Hi, I'm Jennifer and I am so excited to be guest designing this month! I am a proud Canadian, living in Alberta.  I am married to my best friend, Robert.  I have two grown daughters, Diane and Lisa.  These days I am "mother" to my three pups, Gus, Maggie and Lady.

I started scrapping in 2000.  Supplies were limited then as the industry was in it's infancy stage.  Lots of stickers!! ;)  Sometimes I cringe looking at these early LO's but then remind myself to enjoy them for the beauties they were at their time of creation.  At least the stories are recorded!

Scrapping became a full on obsession when I discovered the world of sketches in 2009.  Most of my creations are based on sketches.  I love how sketches give my LO's a variety of designs.  My style is simple with attention to detail.  I love to hand stitch on my LO's!  It gives me a reason to use up my floss collection acquired in the 90's when I had younger eyes and was an avid cross-stitcher. My "go to" supplies include, buttons, tags and pearls.  I love to layer and love mixing patterns.  Sometimes my creations can be busy! ;) Paper is my all time favourite scrapping supply.  My favourite manufacturer changes from season to season depending on the releases.  I enjoy a variety of paper styles from vintage to whimsical!

These days my photograph muses tend to be my pups.  They are much more willing to have their photograph taken than my daughters are. hee hee.  I enjoy taking photos of nature and am planning to try my hand at still life.

My other interests in life include, knitting, reading and just a bit of cross stitching.  These things have taken a back seat lately, as I pursue my scrappy dreams. :)"
