October 2018 - Just the Gist of It

Here is our inspiration kit from The WildHare Kits, a September curated kit for Guest Designer Mandi Holmes, unboxing video HERE https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZTzq7OciDVk

Don't forget that Alison Girling, the club's owner, has generously offered our CKC followers 10% off your very own custom Deluxe Kits with the coupon code CKC1018.

I thought this kit had an interesting mix of playful & graphic elements. And then there is that Hawthorne paper... actually chosen for the chevron wood grain B side (double-swoon!)

So many ways to forge with washi tape: #7 stripe, #6 chevron, #4 taped sentiments or #2 crosses. #1 cut-apart sheets are always a fun counterfeit. The large words might be fun to fussy-cut from a wood grain paper. And those adorable frames? Cardboard with a custom printed sentiment.

I have seen some of the Design Team's forgeries this month - you will not want to miss them!

Come back on the 4th for our Forgery on the Fourth feature which hopes to encourage you to make some of your own elements for your kit and of course, the mini-kit on the 6th and the challenges on the 12th and 18th. Everything you need to keep you inspired though these long days of June.
We love seeing your work, so be sure to share your kits and projects with us. You can do this by using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitchallenge and share with #counterfeitchallenge )

Happy kitting everyone!
