March 2021 - Just The Gist Of It

Hello Counterfeiters! Welcome to Just The Gist Of It! There's lots (and lots) of different ways to take inspiration from the kits that we choose each month and today, I'll offer you a hint or two to start your own Counterfeit Kit. Remember that this may not work for you, and that you can use our #JustTheGistOfIt to search for more ideas!

Paper Addict Kit from Mommyish

This month's inspiration kit is bold and beautiful, and focuses on one of our all time favourite themes! Paper! But, today, I want to talk a little bit about how to alter your kit if you aren't a fan of the bold colours and, if it were me, where I would start :)  

Similar Theme, Different Colours - 

The Pinkfresh 'Office Hours' Collection has a similar theme, but a different *feel* because it's colours are tonally different to those in the Paper Addict Kit. There are several, multi-colour, sheets in the collection that would make an excellent base for a counterfeit kit (and I'm sure that we'll see a lot of this collection in kits this month!)

To stay close to the Paper Addict Kit, then this sheet 'Papermaze' includes a lot of similar colours, but they are a little more subdued. The mustard, could also make it more suitable for scrapping autumn/fall. 

For a much calmer feel, then this sheet 'Plan' would work wonderfully as a base for a kit that would work well. Isn't it restful?

Remember that it's okay to 'tweak' your kit, in any way that suits you. The aim isn't to see who can come up with the best match, but to make you see your stash in a different way and to keep you scrapping!
