June 2021 - Mini Kits & Projects

Hi!  Welcome back!  You're just in time to see what our Master Forgers Clair and Julene came up with for mini kits.  If you don't have time for a full kit this month, the mini kits and projects are just for you!

 Master Forger Clair

Hello Counterfeiters! I love this month's inspiration kit and there were so many different ways that I could have interpreted it from my own stash, but my eye was drawn immediately to those beautiful, watercolour blossoms and I knew that I would choose to focus my kit on those!

I didn't have anything similar in the 'rainbow' colours of the blooms in the kit, but I did find some with the right feel in my stash of Unforgettable by Cocoa Vanilla Studios. It's nice to work with some older stash! And look how beautiful it is!

I created a layout about a visit to the Rose Gardens Kew. The rose cut file from Ashley Horton I used is just beautiful and works really well with some of the softer colours in the collection. Then I've used lots of the little die-cuts, enamel dots and some journalling from my trusty old typewriter to finish off the layout. All done!

And, I really am all done! After a decade of playing along with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge when it was 'The New Thing' and then joining the Design Team to inspire others, this will be my last mini-kit and share for the Counterfeit Kit. It's time for a little bit of new blood in the team and I hope you'll consider applying for the Design Team Call, if you haven't already. There's still a week left to apply.

Master Forger Julene

I focused on the yellow and lime green and found 3 full sheets plus 1/2 sheet for my mini kit. I added washi tape, ribbon, some chipboard flowers plus some tags. Next I found an 8X8 do it yourself album to begin working on.
