January 2020 - Forgery on the Fourth

Our January inspiration kit:

Citrus Twist Kits - Christmas Stories 2019 Kit

Seasonal themes and lots of bits & bobs to enjoy!

Let's take a look at the master forgeries on hand:

Julene had no reindeers (or any other forest animals) so decided to make her own.
She found this picture on Pinterest

She sketched out the pieces needed at the size she wanted and cut them out. These become templates which can be used again in the future.

Using scraps of brown toned papers she traced and cut out 5 reindeers then assembled them.
Red brads come in handy!

Tara was very inspired by the original kit and it's contents that she went crazy with her Silhouette and forged some of the Thickers phrases and Christmas themed bits.

She also wanted to create some of the vintage Christmas book pages from the original kit to add to her kit.  Check out her blog to see how she forged those.

And last, she fell in love with the gold snowflake vellum in the original kit and forged her own version.

Leslie found these cute free printable tags, a Noel banner:

& some really cute images that can be sized for project life cards.

For Tracey's first forgery she was inspired by the woodland animals and fussy cut a few deers from some older patterned paper and created this medallion to use as an embellishment.

  2. Thank you for the link to the word confetti, and for the tutorial for the beautiful medallion! The snowflake vellum is exactly what I was planning to do, great to know it looks so pretty when finished.
