March 2020 - Just the Gist of it

Hello, everyone! Happy Monday to you! Today is the day where we offer up some help if you're not quite sure where to start with putting your own kit together.

Here's a reminder of this month's inspiration kit - Citrus Twist's February 2020 Scrapbook Add-On Kit and their Life Crafted Kit 'Possibilities':

I picked this kit because I was in need of some light and bright colors after what has seemed to be a very dreary winter. This kit is just what the doctor ordered!

When pulling my kit, I personally tend to start with the color palette, especially if it's colors that I am drawn to, which I was in this month's inspiration kit. From there I will move on to the patterns that are offered in the kit, and then to the embellishments.

Besides the colors in the kit, here is what stood out to me - floral patterns (there is a small floral, a medium floral, and a large floral all in the kit), an icon (bird) paper, the large number paper, and a small star/constellation paper.

Maybe you're not a fan of the more pastel colors - feel free to put your own spin on it and darken the colors up to your liking. Maybe you have a floral print paper, or a striped paper, or an icon paper - like the bird paper in the inspiration kit - that you have been wanting to use...pull it out and base your kit on that paper.

Our main goal is for you to be inspired to pull a kit that fits your style and helps you use up your supplies without spending a lot of money!

I hope you've been inspired today and we can't wait to see which way the inspiration takes you!

Just a reminder - here's what we have coming up this month:
  • March 4th - We'll have our "Forgery on the Fourth" post where the Master Forgers will reveal how they created their own version of some of the items in this month's kit.
  • March 6th - We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you are a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • March 12th and 18th - We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • March 24th - I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community members who's caught my eye this month.
  • March 30th - We'll be offering another installment in our Killing Kits Series to help you find ways to use up your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-Up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcmarch2020)

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
