June 2020 - Challenge #1

Master Forger Tara here with our very first challenge in June!  I have given the ladies this challenge to get us started using our kits this month:

Wonderful World
Create a layout about the wonderful world that you live in.  This could be a layout about the beauty of the natural world.  You could create a layout about the world you created-home, work, etc.  Let your creative juices flow!!
Guest Designer Becca:

My June copy-cat kit is titled "Nature's Splendor in Petals and Wings" and it so happens that a lot of my cardstocks and pocket cards are from My Mind's Eye "Splendor" collection. I'm such a chaotic piler on my tables and desks as well as having a Midwest farming 3 Rs mentality before throwing anything away that the title of the layout was fussy cut from the marketing cover sheet for the MME collection!!! And so was the strip of sample paper images on the left side!!! Win-Win!!!

I got inspired to do rainbow-esque columns of gems and butterflies as additional nods back to the inspiration kit "Wonderful World".

Here is my layout "Splendor.

Master Forger Julene

I recently saw these autumn leaves and thought about how lucky we are to live on Earth and enjoy all the colours of the rainbow in nature around us.

Master Forger Tina

Tina focused on this beautiful paper she had in her kit. T o see more about this layout you can go here

Master Forger Lisa

Lisa focussed her page on a recent life change which has changed her world! You can see here that she allowed the fabulous Pinkfresh Studio paper to shine and do most of the design work here. A few  small embellishment clusters were all that was needed as the star of the layout is our newest family member, Mabel!

You can find out more over on her blog.

Master Forger Clair

So, here's the lovey layout that Clair made with (most) of the branding strips that she included in her mini kit this month. Can you believe that she still has some left? She cut out the centre holes, then stitched them all to her base.

She then used a lot of the embellishments from the Heidi Swapp 'Storyline' collection that she included in her mini kit. Can you see all of the little sentiment strips scattered about? You may need to zoom in (or catch more details from Clair over on Instagram.)

Clair's journalling is a simple reminder that, even in these odd times when the world feels a little smaller than usual, there are still moments that remind us how wonderful the world can be.

Here's what we have left this month to help you use your June kits:
