August 2020 - Mini Kit Reveal & Projects

Maybe you don't have the time to do a full kit, or maybe you just like certain aspects of the kit, then a mini kit maybe the answer for you. We'll be sharing a couple of mini kits, created by our Master Forgers, with some projects to give you a little inspiration!
Our inspiration kit:

Hip Kit Club August 2019 Main Kit

Let's see their kits and creations, shall we?

Clair was initially a little unsure about where to start, as this month's inspiration kit from The Hip Kit Club, wasn't really in her 'comfort zone'. So, for her mini kit, she decided to focus on that beautiful lilac/lavender colour which was once fairly rare in the scrapbook industry, but seems to have boomed in recent months.

Clair choose three sheets of 6x8 from the Bloom Street Collection, then added in a handful of diecuts and sticker sheets from the same collection. She then raided her embellishment stash for a few little trinkets and twines which match the colours in the 6x8 sheets. Finally, she included some alphas from an earlier Paige Evans collection!

With her kit, Clair has made this really cute, little mini album (it's sized 3x3) ready for some memories of her summer. She's decorated the front, and insides of the album, with diecuts, stickers and embellishments from her kit. Clair can't wait to share more of this little lovely with you, once it's full of memories. Follow her on Instagram (@obstinatepursuit) so that you don't miss anything!

Master Forger Lori created a page kit for her mini kit this month. Her page kit is based on a few of the papers in the inspiration kit - the house paper, navy paper, and pink chevron. Here is her kit:

She managed to use all of the papers, one of the stamps, and several of the stickers and enamel dots on her layout:

You can see a breakdown of her kit and learn more about the story behind her layout on her blog here.

And of course, don't forget that we'll be back throughout the month to give you some tips, ideas and challenges as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up this month:
  • August 12th & 18th: We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • August 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
  • August 30th:  Another killing kits installment to help us finish off our kits!
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcaugust2020).

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
