May 2020 - Counterfeit Kit Challenge Kit Reveal & Blog Hop

I'm preparing this post a month in advance - without knowing, but hopeful.

May, more than any other month of the year,
wants us to feel most alive.
Fennel Hudson

Hi there! Master Forger Leslie here to host the Counterfeit Kit Challenge month of May. First let me introduce our May Guest Designer, Ashley!

Hello! I'm Ashley and I've been scrapbooking since I was 16. My style has changed tons over the years and now I scrap 12x12 and 8.5x11. I love the idea of using an inspiration kit and putting together your own stash kit. What a great way to make me feel like a kit designer, give me a fresh look at my own supplies, and make a dent in my stash!

Be sure to visit her blog for some wonderful inspiration.

I never thought I would be able to say this, but our May inspiration kit comes from a new kit club,  Club Echo Park! Not a new manufacturer, mind you, but I am thrilled to be a bi-monthly subscriber (at a very reasonable price!) And it is just so pretty! The kit is built on the Echo Park/Carta Bella Oh Happy Day collection.

Club Echo Park March 2020 Kit
19 designs on double-sided paper, including 36 ABC & 43 project life style cut apart cards

33 die cut ephemera pieces, 69 stickers & 33 die cut frames & tags pieces

6X6 paper pad, 1-30 foot roll washi tape, 15 exclusive stamps

On to the blog hop, where you get to see each Master Forger's version!

And of course, don't forget that we'll be back throughout the month to give you some tips, ideas and challenges as you put together and use your kit.
Here's what we have coming up this month:
  • May 3rd: I'll be back with a "Just the Gist" post to help jump-start your kit-making.
  • May 4th: We'll have our "Forgery on the Fourth" post where the Master Forgers will reveal how they created their own version of some of the items in this month's kit.
  • May 6th: We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • May 12th & 18th: We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • May 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
  • May 30th: We'll be offering another installment in our Killing Kits Series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcmay2020).

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!

Have fun! Leslie

  1. I love echo park. And I am not surprised that you are the kit picker this month. When I saw the model board on facebook, I thought to myself, " No chevrons and lots of flowers. Leslie's gonna love this one."
