November 2025 - Challenge #3 - Let's Get Sketchy

 

Welcome to our sketch challenge for November! Before we get into the challenge details, let's take a look at our monthly inspiration kit again - October Glow by Cocoa Daisy 

and here's our sketch for November!

Here is my take on this month's sketch and I actually got to use the leaves that I stamped and fussy cut to tuck in.  I did a bit of stamping behind the photo, too.

I absolutely love autumn.  I love the colors of autumn and I especially love all the fantastic autumn scrapbooking papers out there.  It was especially fun creating my kit for this month.  This sketch was perfect for two photos that I took while walking my dogs and enjoying the colors of nature.  I was so thrilled to be able to use the fall dog paper.  I fussy cut some leaves from another sheet of paper to use as embellishments.  I love the texture that the burlap ribbon behind the photos provided.

November 2025 - Challenge #2 - Thankful, Grateful & Blessed

Welcome to our second challenge for November! Before we get into the challenge details, let's take a look at our monthly inspiration kit again - October Glow by Cocoa Daisy 

Here in the USA, November is a time to show thanks for the wonderful things in your life. So, create a layout featuring ANYTHING you feel thankful for. Please include at least one of these words on your page/title: thankful, grateful, blessed (or any variation of them)

Misty had the perfect story to go with this prompt. Using the word Thankful was just what she needed for her title.

MF Ryann

Ryann has been lifelong friends with these two ladies, and she couldn't be more grateful for that friendship!  These large poster photos in the background were taken by her dad when she and her friends were little.  Then they took pictures in front of them last year when they were all together - about 45 years from the first photos!  

MF Amanda

Amanda decided to document a favorite place her family visits as she feels so very blessed to be able to live near such beauty.  One large photo that is minimally embellished leaves the focus on the beautiful scenery.

November 2025 - Challenge #1 - Tickets, Tags & Cards

 Welcome to our first challenge for November! Before we get into the challenge details, let's take a look at our monthly inspiration kit again - October Glow by Cocoa Daisy

One of the things that stuck out to me in the inspiration kit, were the variety of embellishment choices! I see tags, tickets and even a fun library card! Choose at least one of these elements to include on your project!

I had several tags and one library card in my kit-quite by accident since I built my kit before getting the information on the challenges!!  Good thing!  I layers tickets and the library card on my layout-some behind the photos and some in the upper left corner of my layout.  I added three detail shots of my layout as well, because I had included some clear mixed media stickers in my kit and I used one full sheet of them on this layout!  I did add some twine and a blue cardstock to mat my photos from my stash as well!

I did not put a lot of cards, tickets or tags into my kit this time around - but I do have a tag punch that I decided that I could use this month - I used it both for white cardstock where I did my journaling, as well as I used some washi tape and punched the tags with that too!

November 2025 - Mini Kit & Project Reveal

 Short on time or just prefer a smaller selection of supplies? Today's post is all about the mini kits! Christine & Tina have some beautiful inspiration to share today, but first a reminder of our monthly kit - October Glow by Cocoa Daisy.

I got so excited about this kit!  The inspiration kit was just beautiful.  I had some goodies on hand to make up my mini kit so I was ready to get going.

And I got so excited I forgot to take pictures of the mini kit before I started working.  (facepalm emoji!)

Thankfully, I did record a video for my YouTube channel which you can watch here.

So the pictures below are screenshots of my video where you can see some of the elements.  The papers mostly came from a Simple Stories collection but I pulled in some stickers from an old BoBunny set.  

The first layout I used a really old Reminisce paper.  It seemed to go perfectly with these fun pictures of my son-in-law playing with our dogs.  The green diagonal stripe was out of that Simple Stories collection and I snagged a couple of stickers from the BoBunny sticker sheet.  I also fussy cut some tickets from one of the papers. Oh and I framed the layout with a scrap piece of black cardstock.

The second layout was easy, peasy.  This paper was printed with all these yummy layers.  So all I had to add was the photos, a title, and journaling spots.  

The last layout I went all-in on the layering.  I pulled a piece of BoBunny noteworthy, fussy cut even more tickets and flipped one of the ephemera over that I liked the shape of for a journaling spot.  I also pulled in some rub-ons for the hearts.

Here are all 3 layouts together.  I was really pleased to get these fall photos documented with this gorgeous mini kit!

It was a beautiful kit to forge this month, making a mini kit of it was fun too. I enjoyed the fall vibe of the inspiration and was able to pull this little Fall kit together. 15 papers is a small kit for me :)

A nice mix of fall colors and favorites, I didn't use everything, but I used quite a bit and waiting on photos for the pumpkin stuff in the kit. 

The chosen papers, made for some fun layouts.

 

My 1st layout and some of the elements for my layouts came from a game we were playing at a crop retreat. Knew when I got the bubbles challenge I was doing the fish I saw at the boat ride I was on. 

This layout features the boat ride I took and the beginning of the fall foliage taking place too, the warm temps this year didn't bring on the fall color as soon as it normally does. The title for the layout came about from the game we were playing at the crop. 

The fun walk I took before heading home that day. Had to add a vintage element to the layout and the doily with walnut stain was perfect addition to this. The railroad bridge was a very vintage. I even added some of the ribbon from the giveaway bag I made for the girls. 

The challenge for this one was to use a number dominantly on the layout. Easy peasy as I was able to title it with the mileage of walking I got done with this walk, added the one old railroad marker that had a number on it too. 

4 fun layouts out of this kit and I have a few papers left to play around with the challenges yet this month. You can see more pictures of my kit at my blog

November 2025 - Forgeries on the Fourth

 

Welcome to Forgeries on the Fourth! Our monthly feature were our team of Master Forgers shares their ideas on how to truly "counterfeit" items inspired by our monthly kit! As a reminder, here is our kit for the month - October Glow by Cocoa Daisy

She created three things to share this month.

First up, a piece of leafy paper. Not quite the same as the inspo, but a good substitute.

The tags in the kit had nice grids that could work well for journaling. She recreated those and then took a few extra to embellish further.

Finally she recreated some die cuts with mixed media paper and watercolor.

I created just a few leaves to go with my kit.  I used my Better Press Plate Autumn cheer with Tim Holtz's distress oxides in Rusty Hinge, Pealed Paint and Bundled Sage, to make these leaves.  

 I also used a very old to me leaf dies with some of my paper in the orange color from last month's kit that works perfectly with this month.
