June 2026 - Challenge #1 - Documented!

It is the first challenge of the month! Before we dive in, here is a reminder peek at our kit:

For this first challenge, that little typewriter really screams for us to document something.  So, for this challenge, I really want you to tell the story - go deeper than who and when  - using hidden journaling if needed, but I want at least 100 words of journaling!

Bonus if you put some kind of typewriter on the page!

Guest Designer Lisa

She says, "I love telling a story on my layout, and I've been wanting to document this one about my brother for a while. I came across this picture a few weeks ago, and when I read about this challenge, I knew I wanted to create this page. "

(And she even got the typewriter onto her page - and it looks beautiful!)

Master Forger JoJo
Master forger JoJo scrapped her new rescued kitten and made a pocket to tuck a journaling card and a tag for lots of journaling about the day she found her kitten.

Master Forger Shala created this layout with her kit and typed out her journaling to include it on the layout!  She's created a process video as well, which you can watch HERE.

Now that we have our kits built, let's use them. Here is the inspiration coming up for that!

June 2026 - Mini Kits & Projects Reveal

There isn't always time in the month to make and use up a big kit. If you want to keep it smaller, we've got you covered. From page kits to small projects, you can just take these ideas in a smaller direction. Let's see our inspiration again, and then check out what the team came up with.

MF Brandi

It's been a while since I did a mini kit, mostly because I love having options! I wanted a challenge and I'm so thrilled with the results! These "mixed media" type papers in the inspiration kit reminded me of the stash of Vicki Boutin mixed media backgrounds I have... so I started there!

I was going to pull embellishments from stash to match, but I had yet to pair papers with my recent components kit from Not Just for Boys Kit Club (Kaleidoscope) which has a bit of Artful Moments in it, which was a perfect fit for my VB papers! Here's my whole kit, which I decided to call "Colorful Moments"

I even managed to get all 5 layouts done! I may go back to the background paper stash and do a few more if time allows - these came together SO quickly! A great idea for completing quick pages for those albums.

I love the colors of this so much! I chose some very colorful patterned papers for my kit as well as some matching embellishments,

Most of my papers and embellishments came from Hip Kits. The turquoise dot and rainbow paper are both printables from Traci Reed Designs. I included some puffy hearts and some random enamel dots that were on my desktop.

It always surprises me what I do and do not use in my kits each month.  I created two layouts with my kit.  You can see my kit building and process video for the layouts HERE.

 Here are my completed layouts:

June 2026 - Forgeries on the Fourth

When you look at a kit to replicate, you may think, "But I don't have something like that...."
No worries! Many times, you can make your own version. See how the team takes our inspiration kit (reminder photo below!) and uses it to create their own elements.

Guest Designer Lisa created some forgeries for us - check them out!!!

Ryann knew she wanted to use up scraps with this kit, and she even had an idea on what she would use the forgery for one of them on - a layout you will get to see soon!

This was the first inspiration she used.

And this is what she came up with!

The next one she was inspired by was this image:

Knowing she had a stencil like those leaves, and another of some dots, she tried to forge those two pages.  This is what she came up with:

The lighting is poor, but the top is the part you need to see - they don't have to be exact or perfect, but they feel creative, and you can be artistic in your crafting!

Master Forger JoJo
Used her stamps from her kit to stamp out some titles, journaling spots and embellishments to match her kit and she made two bows for her kit.

Master Forger Amanda
Amanda saw those beautiful flowers in the embellishments and decided that she would transform her American Crafts pattern paper to have more dimension and depth.  Ink, sprays and some brads later.
You can see what the flowers looked like before on the lefthand side of this photo, and all of the oxides that Amanda used.
The sparkle was from Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Tinsel and Tim Holtz Spritz in Fossilized Amber

We'll be back in two days with some Mini Kit inspiration. Stay tuned for that and much more.
