What do You Think???
Since we are already about to start our 4th month of counterfeiting, we thought we would ask for your opinions. If there is anything you like, don't like, want to suggest, or anything you'd like to see more or less of...now is the time to let us know!!! We want to make sure we are keeping things interesting and fun on here. We would love to hear what you think so far :) Please be honest, you won't hurt our feelings!

It's tough to improve on such a good idea - and I honestly don't think that there's more you could be doing to inspire us all.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to be able to see everyone's projects a little more easily though, so I was wondering if you could have separate linkys for each challenge? Or maybe a Flickr Group that we could all add to - so that we can see all the projects in one place?
Other than that, I can't think of a single thing that could be improved. I love this site so much and am so pleased to have found a challenge that truly inspires me to create in so many different ways! x
I'm really enjoying it, but last month's 5 kits were a bit overwhelming for me- other may not agree though
ReplyDeleteI think this is the greatest concept! I participated by making a kit in February but was uncertain where to link up the projects I made with it. If there was a linky in the sidebar that might be helpful. Either way, I plan to join in some more and really think you are doing a great job here!
ReplyDelete"Lovin' every minute of it!" I can't think of anything I would change. I am just hoping April will be a little less crazy for me (and Merridy, :-). I finally had time yesterday to pull together some March LO's.
ReplyDeleteYou girl's rock! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
I haven't participated in making the kits, but I absolutely LOVE the tutorials on how to make homemade embellies. I've got you bookmarked on my toolbar and I always pop in to see what you've got going on.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a fun thing for me to do. I forget what I have until you post the kit to counterfeit and I start digging through my stash. Keep up the good work. I really think this has been great.
ReplyDeleteMichelle
Valerie - the linky was moved to the sidebar for the March kit - you can see it on the top right. It made things a WHOLE lot easier this month.
ReplyDeleteI too felt the 5 kits from Studio Calico was a little overwhelming. I decided to only make one for myself because of this, but could see how some people who be put off by the concept. Perhaps only choosing one add-on kit for everyone to replicate in future might be a good idea.
I {{{{LOVE}}}} this challenge and think you're doing an amazing job of hosting it. Which your new design team, things are bound to change a wee bit this month anyway, so I don't think you should be in too much of a rush to break the mold just yet ;-)
First off THANK YOU for taking on this challenge and for all the fun stuff you have brought to us. It has really made scrapping fun. As for one kit or several kits having the choice to do one or all makes it easier, but I do have to agree that more last month was a little overwhelming. For the linky, I felt like I was never going to see everyones stuff and I am sure I missed some because I kept forgetting where I left off at, but I think if you switch to flickr people will not look at stuff as much and wont leave messages.
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that mr linky gives the chance to find other peoples blogs that they might like to follow. I LOVE the blog hops. I have done every months kits and blog hops so far and I can't wait for Aprils to get started.
I couldn't have said it better than Glinda--Thank you!! This blog has helped me to see and use my paper stash in a much better way!! My crafty, super sweet friend Sherri sent me here and I have enjoyed all things "Counterfeit Challenge"!! I think you're doing great cuz how much we want to have in our kit is up to us, so I think it's going fine!!! Again, Thank-You!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! I am still struggling with getting all of my stuff organized (but maybe it is because I have too much stuff? lol).
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of your hard work! You all ROCK!
This is my new favorite place to go on the web! You are doing a fantastic job. I'm sure you will gather ideas on ways to change and step up as time goes by. You are off to an incredibly good start!
ReplyDeleteFirst of all, let me say that I absolutely love the concept of the Counterfeit Kits, and I don't think that the blog could be hosted by anyone sweeter than Beth and Meridy. You girls are absolutely wonderful. I love the idea of the Flickr group. It was so hard for me to keep track of which links I had already visited and commented on, and I know that I missed several. You can always enter your blog addy in the comments section on Flickr if you'd like. The Flickr group would also be a great alternative for those who don't have their own blogs (yet!)
ReplyDeleteI came across this awesome blog just yesterday, so, everything looks perfect to me!
ReplyDeleteI totally meant a Flickr Group as well - not instead of - the linkys. I've noticed that quite a lot of people who participate already upload their photos through Flickr or use the site when they don't have a blog. Just an alternative... :)
ReplyDeleteI wouldnt change a thing! I love blog hopping to see what everyone is working on during the month and all the inspiration I see while scoping out their other blog projects. I think I scrapped more during March than I normally would simply because I had a nice kit all laid out and ready to go
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon this site...and I am enthralled! What an AWESOME idea...and as most scrappers I know...we tend to hoard supplies! I am loving this idea...and I cannot wait to see which kit you plan on "lifting" next...because I really want to give this a try. Awesome idea!!!!
ReplyDeleteHands down I love this place. Great tutorials and inspiration. Have you ever thought about starting the month by getting us to try to guess what kit we'll do next. I know you do the sneak peeks but you ever think of a game and give hints with the kit club andthe kit for the months name in hints? I wish I had more time or there was a better way to view each players completed work. Maybe we could all post a final blog just showing off our achievements for the month. It is by checking out others that we get inspired. You guys are amazing, wonderful, and fun.
ReplyDeleteI have loved this concept since the start, and am so happy you have a wonderful following. It did get difficult to keep up with everyone's work, tho. And I like the idea of having a couple of inspiration kits to work with. I usually just chose only one to counterfeit and stay with it for the month. Last month I only got one layout done, but I will use my kit when I print some more pictures. The tutorials are fabulous and I'm looking forward to what the design team adds to the blog. Awesome work, ladies!
ReplyDeleteCounterfeit Kit is such an amazing idea and I honesty do not think you should change anything. I like having a main kit and having add on kits. There was no way I could do 5 but I liked having the option. I think Mr. Linky is super easy to use and for me I try to remember the number of the post I last looked at. the variety of challenges is also great and love the blog hops! So very excited for tomorrow! Thank you so much for everything.
ReplyDeleteI am absolutely thrilled with your blog and the challenge. March was the first month I truly participated, except I forgot about the Blog Hop and missed it. I found that I was able to figure out what I needed to do for the most part and if I needed help, I'd just bug Kylie or Tricia...LOL!!
ReplyDeleteThis has become my absolute favorite site. I have always liked the idea kit clubs, but I have so much stuff I could not justify subscribing to a kit. I always thought I had enough stuff to make a kit- I just needed the direction. I have made all of the kits so far, even every add on, and I thought it was great to have the option of so many kits last month. I haven't used them up, but it sure makes it easier to pick up a sketch and make a completed page with all the paper and embellishments already gathered.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see more tutorials. I have so much in the way of "raw materials" like ink, paint, stamps, bling, chipboard etc plus a Cricut and SCAL so I like the idea of making the embellishments. The tutorials so far have been great!!
I too think this is a great site! Great idea, and fabulous implementation. Perhaps a flickr group for those who want it, and separate Mr. Linky's; one for kits and one for projects? It might be fun to sprinkle "feature participant" blog posts when you see an outstanding project. All in all, wonderful work ladies!
