So mini banners have been "all the rage", maybe some scrapbookers think they are getting old and going out of style...but I still LOVE them and use them often. There is a mini banner alphabet sticker set in this month's inspiration kit. So I was thinking I would share some ideas and mini banners I have seen that use shapes other than the typical triangle pennants.
My first idea, I don't have a photo of...I bought a "paper doll clothing" die for my OLD Sizzix on clearance last year and thought I could use it to cut fabric and make mini "clothesline" banners on layouts.
Basically, mini banners can be made from any type of punch...hearts, snowflakes, flowers, butterflies, scalloped circles or squares, the possibilities are endless! If you have any other unique mini banner ideas, post them here...we would LOVE to hear them!
what great inspiration layouts - I am a huge banner fan and find myself adding them to so many of my layouts. I will try any and all shapes and ideas and just adore the results. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteStampin' Up! now has an awesome mini pennant punch that is just perfect for scrapbook pages and cards. It has two layers you can punch out! Luv it!
ReplyDeleteAlthough mini banners have been around for a while, I've just now jumped on this bandwagon. I'm loving them!

ReplyDeleteLove all that banner inspiration - thank you so much :)
ReplyDeleteThese examples are all adorable! I thought I was over the banner thing, but you may have inspired me again! The clothesline idea is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI'm just getting into banners - and can see now that I'll need to step it up. Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeleteI love banners, too, but I seem to always make my own out of patterned paper and triangle shapes. These variations are great! I can't wait to try some of these new ideas!
ReplyDeleteI'm really loving the circle banner...I'll be giving that one a try soon!
