Recycle, Recycle, Recycle by Jimjams (aka: Jemma)

Here at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog we are all about using up supplies rather than buying new.  So the idea of recycling magazines for Christmas is right up my street.  I was searching the Winter-Wonder-Web for ideas to recycle too and came across a lovely pom-pom gift topper:

The original tutorial for making this is here but I also wondered how it would look punched from a heart shape and whether I could simplify it by dispensing with the ribbon punch (as I didn’t have one)!  This is how I recycled the idea:

There’s a step by step of my adapted method (for circles and hearts) on my blog today.

I also found some other lovely recycled toppers to share:

made by the clever Michele Pacey of Michele Made Me

from the talented Jessica Jones over at How About Orange

Happy Recycling!

  2. Cute and fun! They would get destroyed in my house right now but good for later on!

  5. Thanks for all these links. I made the loopy bows last year, but I had forgotten about them. I'll need to make some more!
