Rebecca's January Page Kit!

I'm so excited to kick off this month's posts for the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog. As Bethany described yesterday, we are each taking two days of the month to provide (1) an inspiration page kit and sketch, and (2) more about our own scrapping and kit making processes. The twist is that we each have a monthly theme, so we can all work through a "year in review" and tie up the loose ends of 2012. Since I picked January, I go first!

My theme for the month of January is Fresh Starts. January is just a good time to start over, isn't it? It doesn't have to be just New Year's resolutions, either. Think back to January 2012. Did you have any scrapping resolutions or goals or just "to do's" that haven't been done? Or any projects you just generally put off for later in the year?
Well, consider it January around here, and let's get busy!

One of my to-do's back in January 2012 was to "finish loose ends pages." I actually did complete the pages I had in mind, but of course I have accumulated more. So maybe that's a good project to finish before my Fresh Start of January 2013.

I've mixed some old bits with new packages. It's a little more than just a page's worth of supplies, but I really do hope to stretch it and use it to finish all my remaining Mexico vacation pages (more about that topic tomorrow). My kit includes:

--6x6 MME Lime Twist paper pad
--Amy Tangerine date roller stamp, plastic flair, and transparent letter stickers
--A roll of October Afternoon washi tape
--A few leftover bits from 2012 kit making (flowers, some twine, a rosette flower, a couple of clips, and some journaling spots/pieces
And here is the sketch I chose to put with my kit. It's Valerie Salmon's Sketch 104 at Got Sketch (posted on December 3, 2011). It's a sketch that used a 5x7 photo, but as always with a sketch, use your own imagination! You could easily consider the focal photo a different size or a cluster area of smaller photos.
Click over to my blog today, and you should see some if not all of my completed pages. Then tomorrow, please join me here again on the blog to see my process for scrapping and working with a kit. Stay tuned!
