This year I have been giving pocket scrapbooking a try. My time to craft has become so limited and while I create for the fun of it, I am falling farther and farther behind in documenting things for my kids. I want to find a good balance between being caught up and being creative and this might work for me. My plan is to keep up by using a monthly process to document our photos, but also to add in 12 x 12 layouts for some of the photos that need a more creative touch. Plus, those 3x4 and 4x6 cards are perfect for cards and layering on regular layouts. Win-Win!
Challenge #2: Pocket Page Inspiration: Use a 3x4 or 4x6 card (does not have to be a pocket scrapbooking card, can be cut down from your own paper) on your next project. Use it as the sentiment on a card or as a layering element on your layout. You can also bind a bunch to make a mini album!
Now I know, if you are not into that type of scrapbooking you might be grumbling a bit, but really, give it a try! Making those cards can be REALLY fun (as fun a making a layout!). I recently did a "kit swap" (we made kits for another person and some of the elements had to be handmade) on Facebook and made a Pocket Page style kit for a new friend. I made several of the cards in the photo below...I think I am addicted now!
Here is another card that I made using a mask and gold mist. I can't wait to use this on a travel page!
Feeling a little braver now? Let's see what our Master Forgers did for us for this challenge. I'm ready to be inspired!
Here is Guest Designer Maggie's take on the challenge (I LOVE the red chevron!)
You can read more about it on her blog.
LesleyG is very apologetic for the late entry and blames a time warp HERE
I also had a bit of fun with an easy Pock Card Project!
Feel free to head over to MY BLOG to see more about it.
