But today, I have the pleasure in revealing the surprising and not so surprising Scrap Crushes of our intrepid team. Can you see the influences? Did you guess correctly?
Here we go:
Bethany:
Bethany found inspiration in the fabulous Betsy Veldman who can be found at Paper, Scissors and Superheroes. I don't know about you, but I've pinned many of her amazing cards to my Cardmaking Pinterest board over the months. Fabulous cards, so it's no wonder she's on the Paper Trey Ink team.
Bethany shared these gorgeous cards by Betsy
as inspiration for her own cards
Julene
Julene got crushed up by the delightful Jennifer Grace with her inspirational blog over at Jennifer Grace Creates. She used to be a Counterfeit Kit Challenge Master Forger, don't you know? And now wows us all with her crafty creations and her incredible bi-yearly weekend events.
Here's a taste of what you get over at Jennifer's blog along side Julene's page inspired by her crush.
Leslie:
Ashli Oliver aka SoapHousemama can be found at her Purple Mailbox blog and will amaze you with her freestyle, mixed media, layered, "messy" pages. A Design Team member over at A Flair for Buttons as well as Cocoa Daisy just to name two, Ashli has a style all her own. I, for one, adore her!
Ashli vs Leslie! See the resemblance??? Leslie has a second post up today here.

Lisa:
I regaled you with tales of going through three Scrap Crushes but in the end, settled for the amazingly talented and über-trendy Paige Evans who can be found at her blog Paige & Chris where she records her travels all over Europe as well as her awe-inspiring pages. She makes using up different papers and scraps look so effortless as she creates page after beautiful page but I can tell you, that this detail and precision, not to mention the gorgeous mix of papers and colours she achieves, is something very special indeed!
Can you see the similarity?

Lynnette:
Lynnette chose the fabulous Jennifer Gallacher, finding a lot of similarities between her style and that of Jennifer's. She can be found at her blog Jen Gallacher and hardly needs any introduction. A huge name in the industry, her list of credits is indeed long. A former Garden Girl, at the moment you can find her at Big Picture Classes and probably a million other places around the web. A true Scrapbook Celebrity for sure, no doubt she is the Scrap Crush of many of us!
Jennifer has a very distinct style and Lynnette certainly has similar elements - can you see?

Margie:
Margie found inspiration in the arty, ethereal feeling designs created by Wilna Furstenberg. A super popular, wonderfully creative artist with a simply amazing accent, Wilna has encouraged us all to get out the paints, mists, gelato and die cuts to create clean, bright, gentle, art-filled pages with her unique style. She can be found being prolifically artistic on her blog iheartblog which is a wonderful source of process videos, art journalling inspiration and die cut files.
Let's compare the two side by side and see if we can see the artistic influence...

Stephanie decided to go urban with her Scrap Crush, Kelly Purkey! A girl about town who travels, loves to eat, creates on the run and is one of the most gorgeously fashionable girls in the scrap world, Kelly is a designer, class instructor and all round creative bod. She can be found at her blog Kelly Purkey and from there she will take you with her on her travels and you can eat the most amazing food vicariously through her awesome photography. She is well known for her mini-books and her Project Life pages.

Last but most certainly not least is Susanne's crush on Celeste Smith who can be found over at her blog Life in Lower Case. A DT for Simple Scrapper as well as Write.Click.Scrapbook, Celeste is known for her digital skills and clean and simple design style. A prolific, fun, motivational scrapper - she is one of the drivers of Calvin Ball over at Get It Scrapped - she has a style all her own.
Can Susanne translate Celeste's incredible digi skills into a crushed up paper version? What do you think?
