September Counterfeit Kit Challenge is HERE!

We are certainly moving along through the year, don't you think?  I am getting excited because it is heading towards my FAVORITE time of year!  I LOVE fall and am pretty happy about winter, too.  Indiana has great seasonal differences, so there are always fun, seasonal specific things to do.  I would love to hear about where YOU live.  Post in the comments below!

We are headed back to Studio Calico this month for their really fun POP ART Kit!  (You can check the scrapbook one out HERE.)  I love the graphic feel of these kits.  It would be so easy to put a more whimsical spin on them or go the opposite direction and just stick with color blocking.  Here are some photos of the kits you can get inspired from for your own kit this month!

Our Guest Designer was on the ball this month and had her things ready EARLY! You go, girl!  Say hello to Cindy!

Hi, I’m Cindy F. I am delighted to be a Guest Designer at Counterfeit Kit Challenge this month. I currently live in Minnesota. I’ve been married to my sweetheart for 34 years and we have two awesome sons ages 30 and 26 and one Chihuahua, Miss Izzy, who rules the household.

I love to create things. I owe much of this to my mom and grandmothers; they would be found crocheting, sewing, or working on some new project. They encouraged me to make things even when they didn’t turn out perfect. I have been scrapbooking in some form or another since I was a child. I would keep newspaper clippings or maps when I would go rock or bottle hunting, or out on a day trip exploring ghost towns with my grandmother. I started traditional scrapbooking when my guys were in school to preserve their memories, then I had to take a calligraphy class with a friend and that started the card making with the yearly Christmas cards, then birthdays and now the list just never stops. I normally have several projects going at one time, a quilt or afghan (more than likely both), maybe a new beading project and of course some form of a paper craft.

Are you ready to get creating?  Hop on through our Master Forgers interpretation of the kit for this month to get some fresh ideas before you pull together your own!

We have another great month full of challenges, tutorials and ideas, so make sure you check back here and on Facebook!

  2. Love the kits ladies for you all struggling with it you made some amazing kits :) To answer Bethany's question I live in PA (We were very PA Proud during the Little League World Series this past year the boys from Redland did fantastic! ) We have seasons in our state too very scenic with the mountains and the valleys. Spring has to be my absolutely favorite season to see all the new growth coming alive from the dead of winter also the temperature is more enjoyable in the spring. Fall is good with all the color of the leaves we have lots of flaming foliage in our area with lots of festivals to go with it. Once winter hits I'm in and scrapping lots I'm not one for the cold weather and will take a hot summer anytime over winter.
