Document December with Susan: My Kit

Happy December - I'm excited to share my "Document December" kit and project here on the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog! I will be gathering a kit to use for my December Daily mini-album. December Daily is a project developed by Ali Edwards in which you record a story every day for the month of December. You can find specific information about the project on Ali's blog.

I began by spending a little time on Pinterest, browsing December Daily ideas to get myself in the holiday mood. Well, maybe I spent more than a little time because does anyone really spend just a little time on Pinterest??? I made a December Daily 2015 board to guide me in selecting items for my December CKC kit. Here's a little peek at my board:

The majority of my pins were in shades of turquoise, pink, and red and so I thought I would shake things up this year and use those colors instead of the traditional red and green I've always used. I pulled out my boxes of Christmas papers and embellishments and gathered everything in those colors. I also decided to go with silver as a metallic option this year instead of my usual gold.

I ended up with this selection of papers:

This is what I pulled for stickers and rub-ons:

Here is an assortment of other embellishments, including washi tape, tags, wood veneer and stamps:

Here is my complete December CKC kit, "Merry & Bright":

I'll be back tomorrow to show you how I turned my kit into my December Daily mini-album!

  6. ooooh....love your paper selection. It drew me right into the rest of the kit. I have a real thirst for turquoise and red right now. And the pink, too! Just add some gold glitter and I'll be right over to roll around in it.

  7. The turquoise and red is such a great colour combo that I'm tempted to switch!!! But really, such a great looking kit and scrummy embellies and bits and pieces. I bet you can't wait to dip into it again and again. I also agree about the silver - fun this year. If I could track down some copper, I'd be using that!
