There's always a lot going on behind the scenes here at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge blog and among the Master Forger team, and the last few weeks are no exception.
As you might know, this amazing challenge blog you have come to love has its origins a looooong time back when Meridy and Bethany had a brainwave - you can read about it here. A simple concept: use "real" scrapbook kit clubs as inspiration to build your own kits from your own stash. Stash that you bought because you loved it!
Over the years, Meridy moved on to concentrate on her photography business and Crystal wanted to focus on her growing family. So for a long time, our trusty leader Bethany held the reins alone and steered us along our creative path.
But the day has come that Bethany needs to spend more time and energy focussing on her spiritual role in supporting her Pastor husband and their church community.
And so it with much sadness that we say goodbye to Bethany in her Counterfeit Kit Challenge role.
We want to take this opportunity to wish Bethany all the luck in the world in her new responsibilities and to say a huge
to her for providing us with this awesome concept and for all the inspiration, support, hard work and commitment she gave to it over the years.
We love you Bethany and miss you already.
Now before you worry, of course the Counterfeit Kit Challenge isn't going anywhere!
I'm taking on the overall organisational responsibility and ALL the Master Forger team are sharing the behind-the-scenes tasks to pick kits, organise challenges, provide you with inspiration and motivate you to be creative. Round here, it definitely takes a village.... I swear this is the best group of scrappy ladies on the internet.
Love them all!
With all those changes, it was necessary to create a new email address so it would be great if you could all update your contact list. You can now contact us on:
(close enough to be easy to remember hopefully, but also close enough to the old one to be confusing- sorry for that!)
There will be a few changes here and there over the next few months so keep your eyes and ears open, and your glue runners ready for action.
Sending love across the miles, Lisa
Thanks you for all you've done Bethany..and thank you Lisa for stepping up to take charge..you're right..these are the best group of ladies on the Internet! I love this blog and I'm so glad you're not going anywhere.

Oh, sad to see Bethany leaving, but I want want to thank her so deeply for all the wonderful inspiration she provided me! Counterfeit kit blog had a major impact on my scrapbooking style. I am so glad to see you taking over, Lisa and the team, because I am longing to participate again (when I'll have my job part time only, I can't wait to have time for srapbooking again!), so please, keep around and thanks for all you do on this blog!
ReplyDeleteA huge thank you to Bethany (and Meridy and Crystal) for the start of CKC all of those years ago. I remember it hitting TwoPeas threads ;) And, Bethany, for keeping in it as the last of the original crew. Wishing you much energy and wisdom to both you and your family as you continue on life's journey. God Bless.
ReplyDeleteTo you, Lisa -- xxxxxx from here in Canada!!! I'm often here stopping by and always hope to play and scrap MORE! So thrilled as the baton officially is passed into your more than capable, not to mention creative (!!), hands. Wonderful.
To the rest of you lovely ladies on the Master Forgers design team -- thank you for your efforts and enthusiasm on the scrapping front! You guys are amazing!
With smiles and hugs, Heidi here in Ontario, Canada
On my, I'm very behind the times! Even though I haven't played in a while (being time poor and scrappy stuff packed in hard to get to places because of our massive house renovations) I've always come in - looked at whats going on, checked out the kits and ooh and aahed over the wonderful work shown! Yes, thanks so much to Bethany - what a wonderful marathon she has run for us!!! And Lisa - what great hands CFK's is in with you at the helm and the fabulous design team!! I will get back here - just not yet - but I'm still looking!!!! :)
