Welcome to Counterfeit Kit Challenge's tribute to International Scrapbook Day where the Master Forgers will be sharing their fantastic favourites with you!
Let's get right into the "thick" of it with some tips, tricks and pointers on using those oh-so-loved dimensional alphas we call
THICKERS!
THICKERS!
Now, I know they can be a little temperamental at times and don't always want to stay in place, but in spite of their shortcomings, they do truly make a statement on a layout, card or project.
Let's take a look at how we can use them!
Create an eclectic and lengthy Thickers title
You may not have enough letters from one pack of Thickers to create a rambling title, but mixing and matching can help you get your message across in an eye catching way.
Raise your hand if you need some Zzzzzz's!
Maybe you need some sleep, but I'm sure many of us don't need any extra Z Thickers. Even after you've scrapped about the zoo and the bumble bees buzzing around your azaleas, there are still quite a few Z's left in your Thicker packs.
Why not dig up a photo of a baby sleeping or your dog dozing and create a layout like this?
This layout is hardly a snooze!

Use (mostly) the whole pack on one page.
(Gasp!)
Could you do it? Just open the pack and lay the whole alphabet down? This layout shows just that and it makes a fabulous background.
Thickers on Canvas
What a simple, yet impressive piece of art this makes.
Take a Number!
Don't forget to use up the numbers to show the date on a layout or even pocket page cards.

Color Coded Thickers
What a statement these random, yet color grouped letters make on this page.
And coming out of that typewriter die cut? How cute is THAT?!?

If you are anything like the scrapper I am, you probably have a THICK pile of Thickers just begging to be used.
USE THEM and share your creations with us.
Happy International Scrapbook Day!
Wishing you scrapiness,

I am SO making a zzzz page! :D
ReplyDeleteBut the thought of using them up gave me a little bp spike, lol!
There's something so satisfying about using a whole bunch of "things" on a page - love the inspiration you shared!
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas Lynnette. Love the z page and the baby one with a long title.I think my favourite is the typewriter with coloured strips. Thanks for the ideas.
