Just The Gist Of The Kit –April 2017

Let’s make this quick ladies, so you can get to pulling a brand new counterfeit kit based on this month’s inspiration kit.

It was chosen by Master Forger Leslie --- Ashton Court from Cocoa Daisy.

I think Cocoa Daisy’s description of the kit is spot on:  “bright and happy design . . . yellows and blues, some reds and pinks mix with a nice balance of white.”

If I were to add to that, I would say that you should think at least one geometric, a red mini floral, deep blue for contrast, definitely some dots (medium and/or mini) and something with a whimsical touch like birds or hot air balloons.  A pop of some very neon lime or tangerine wouldn’t go amiss either.  Add lots of white too.

In fact, I had no problem pulling cheerful colorful papers.  Here are some I would use to give this month’s kit the most variety from prior months selections.  It is no accident that half of these papers are Jillibean Soup, the brand that springs to my mind for happy cheerful colors.  I do not know the makers of the other sheets, but am happy to have pulled them out of my miscellaneous paper bin. It was the lime green kicker in the inspiration kit that really caught my eye.

How did I do?  Does that give you just the gist of it?  What is it that will catch your eye as just the gist of this kit?

Happy kitting!
