The 12 Days of Christmas | Two Turtle Doves

"On the second day of Christmas my true love gave to me, two turtle doves....."

Ah! Lisa here and as soon as I thought of that line, I knew I wanted to make a page about spending Christmas with my husband. I know doves aren't necessarily connected with love but I had that connection in my head and when I saw the paper in the Crate Paper Falalala collection featuring birds, I knew this was a match made in heaven!

I don't know about you, but I can't resist Christmas collections and will always get one or two. The problem is that I just don't make many Christmas pages and anyway, the latest collection is always "too" nice to use right away. Before I know it, it's the next year and I realise that I have that gorgeous set of Pinkfresh/Crate/Shimelle etc from the previous year which is untouched and now there's a new set of gorgeous stuff to buy and hoard keep!

So this year true to form, I just had to get everything I could lay my hands on in the Falalala collection but I decided to just get it cut into as soon as I could. This page is the result.

I know it's not really a curated Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit but we are all about using up our much loved stash so that's the link for me!

Here's my products - look at that cute bird paper! It's so perfect for this page.

And I pulled together this simple page based on those "two turtle doves".

Sorry for the photo tags! An internet shy partner calls for creative solutions!

This was a really quick and simple page with a little journalling around the edge just to tell the main details of the day, place and my thoughts at that time. Everything is from the Crate Paper collection except the small gold letters (Studio Calico) and it feels so good to see these items being used - as beautiful as they look on my desk, all shiny and new!

Thanks for stopping by on this second day of seasonal projects at Counterfeit Kit Challenge. And be sure to link up your own creations on our Facebook page!
