May 2018 - Challenge #1 Shapely Photos

May 2018 Challenge #1: Shapely Photos:

Oops! Off with his head! circa 2000
Did you guess? We are cutting our photos into shapes for this challenge. I promise you won’t hate me after you see some of the inspiring examples on my special Pinterest board HERE. I was inspired by this paper in the kit, which looks as if a photo or patterned paper was cut into the numbers & words.
 Here's a small sample:

Simple shape repeated in other elements.

Shape that emphasizes the story of the photo.

Graphic use of a repeated geometric shape.

Photo divided into separate pieces.

Guest Designer Emma Clark was inspired by a gorgeous page made by Suzanne Steeden who used white hearts layered on white cardstock. She wanted to keep the page minimal but pretty to make the photo and words stand out.

Master Forger Cindy was inspired to use a chevron shape for her photo and journaling:

Master Forger Tina was inspired to use her creative memories oval cutting plates for the photos on her layout:

Grab your favorite punch or fussy-cutting scissors & channel your inner Edward Scissorhands!
