February 2019 - Forgery on the Fourth

Master Forger Julene has chosen our February inspiration kit. Isn't it lovely?0

Kaisercraft's Anthology, the entire collection plus projects using it - see it all HERE
A stunning naturalist's dream collection of feathers, botanist sketches, butterflies, insect studies & complementary vintage patterns. This may be a FAB opportunity for any digital scrappers in our midst. For the rest of us I think a lot of forging can be done with those dusty stamp sets pining away in your stash. Anyone else have some vintage style Tim Holtz goodies?

Let's see what the Design Team has come up with this month!

How about this gorgeous free collage background download for starters?
Try searching for "free vintage collage images."

Two more  HERE that feature collaged newspaper pages.

Julene found instructions for making home crafted feathers with washi tape!

Or here's one to paint feathers for a unique element - pretty!

Julene made these cute round tags by dipping them into walnut ink to give the vintage look, then stamping them with butterflies and birds.

Lisa tracked down a whole bunch of fun free printables from Pinterest:

A set of six beautiful fern printables from The Painted Hive blog here

Temperance Rose offers a set of black and white botanical printables here.

Maintech.info appears to have a selection of freebies for scrapbookers - check them out here. There are some lovely vintage florals which are very reminiscent of the inspiration collection.

What about these gorgeous shabby roses and bunnies? Available at Shabby Art Boutique here

Remodelaholic shares some vintage images which have been made available from the New York Public Library - some would be perfect for your kits! Check it out here.

This site is in Russian but features some simply stunning butterflies - maybe Google translate can help!

Another foreign language collection of freebies - this time German - but I'm sure you can find some perfect matches for your kit including florals and butterflies.

Free Pretty Things For You has some digital feather stamps as well as printable papers in lovely shades of gold, mint and coral.

Graphical Muse has a whole bunch of links to all sorts of freebies.

and one last one... The Graphics Fairy has French script feathers to print and cut out. These are really perfect for your kit!

And then she realised that long, long ago, she also made some vellum feathers which were easy to make but lovely to use. You can find the details of these over on her blog here

Laura put her stamps to use and stamped some feather and film strip images on to scraps that coordinated with her kit

Cindy used her dies for feathers and fussy cut butterflies and birdies.

The Butterflies are a free printable from the Handmade Home and can be found here while the winter birds are from Free SVG and can be found here.

As always, we love seeing your work, so be sure to share your forgeries, kits and projects with us. You can do this by using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitkitchallenge and share with #counterfeitkitchallenge )
