April 2019 - Counterfeit Kit Challenge kit reveal & blog hop

Welcome back for another month here at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge - no joke!

Here in Germany, April is a time for spring flowers, replanting gardens and balconies, breakfasts, brunches and dinners for Easter, egg hunts, plenty of chocolate and enjoying the longer days which give a hint of what's to come later in the season. There's also a lot of weather, time with family, garden activities and maybe the opening of the BBQ season. That adds up to a lot of scrappy possibilities and I wanted to find a big kit that would inspire us with plenty of variety, great colours and lots of ways to interpret it with our own supplies.

Therefore, in April I'm returning to one of my favourite kit clubs - Hip Kit Club - for their March 2019 kit
featuring Crate, Heidi Swapp and some Hip Kit exclusives.

There are also some other kits available if you wanted to take inspiration from those and
a great unboxing video if you want to get some more detail about the kit:

I think this is a really lovely colour scheme as a contrast to last month's brighter hues and I love the greens and blues as well as that hint of mustard which is unusual for spring.

And of course, no new month would be complete without a fabulous Guest Designer and this month is no exception! I'd like you to put your hands together and give a warm welcome to Counterfeit Kit Challenge follower Debbie Stemper:

"Hello, my name is Debbie and I have been crafting since I was a child; it's basically what my family did for fun. When I was first introduced to scrapbooking in 2004 I had been doing a lot of quilting, so cutting large pieces of paper into smaller pieces and reattaching them was a very easy transition. I love telling stories and taking photos and playing with color, so this hobby is pretty perfect for me. I made my first kit as part of a challenge by Jill Sprott in the Get It Scrapped community, and it was a revelation as far as how easy it was to use that smaller subset of my stash, so when I found CKC I joined in and stuck around."

You can find Debbie at her blog Things Here At Home here

Now here's the kit reveal blog hop list so that you don't miss out on any of the fun:

And of course, don't forget that we'll be back throughout the month to give you some tips, ideas
and challenges as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up this month:
  • April 2nd: I'll be back with a "Just the Gist" post to help jump-start your kit-making.
  • April 4th:  We'll have our "Forgery on the Fourth" post where the Master Forgers will reveal how they created their own version of some of the items in this month's kit.
  • April 6th:  We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
  • April 12th & 18th:  We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.

We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us!
You can link up in different ways:

Thanks for stopping by today - I'll be here again tomorrow with some ideas
to help you put together your kit!

(For MF Laura: I'm sorry I didn't log in to Instagram to leave a message there, but I really like the blue emphasis of your kit! Especially the large blue dot paper!) Have some crafty fun, gals!
