April 2020 - Mini Kit Reveal and Projects

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the idea of a big kit this month? Perhaps you just want to pull together a few products to get those creative juices flowing again. Well, maybe a mini kit is the answer.

Today we'll be sharing a couple of mini kits, created by our Master Forgers, with some projects to give you a little inspiration! First, let's remind ourselves of this month's inspiration kit, the Orchard Path Kit from Cocoa Daisy.

Master Forger Shannon

Shannon used a purchased kit this month. The soft floral feel was absolutely spot on for the inspiration! How awesome to see a lovely color palette!

Shannon did cut into every paper this time around except for the pale blue cardstock. She had a ball fussy cutting out the bold florals and giving them dimension here and there with a bit of foam squares. She did sneak in a couple of embellishments from her stash to round out the layout including gold mist, labels and a few enamel dots!

Please take a look at the process here on YouTube.

Master Forger Clair

Having chosen this month's inspiration kits for the beautiful, but unusual colour combination, Clair soon realised that a beautiful, but unusual colour combination meant she wouldn't find much in her stash to create her own kit! Even a mini kit. Luckily, a recent online haul arrived with some of Heidi Swapp's Storyline Collection and Clair realised that she must have unconsciously chosen the kit to echo her stash additions (or maybe the other way around!)

She included a Storyline Pad, Stickers, Stamps and Ephemera in her mini kit.

With her kit, Clair chose to create a little mini album to document one of those 'Perfect Days' in her back yard. The coordinated elements meant that it came together easily, if not quickly, and here's a little flip through!

We'll be back later this month with more ideas and challenges, as you put together and use your kit.

Here's what we have coming up later in the month:
  • April 12th & 18th: We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
  • April 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
  • April 30th: We'll be offering another instalment in our Killing Kits Series to help you find ways to use up all of your kit.
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcapril2020).

Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
