Hello, everyone! Today is the day where we try to help you get started when your not quite sure where to start with putting your own
kit together.
Here is a look at the August Inspirational kit is the Hip Kit Aug 2019 Main Kit
When I 1st saw this kit I was struck by the lovely purple and that is what drew me in. Add the blue, pink and yellow in the kit with hints of orange drawn me right to manufacturer collections like Shimelle's Sparkle City was the 1st thing that came to mind and then the blues had me thinking of Shimelle's Head in the Clouds collection. So a good starting point is if you have collections in your stash or if you organize you stash by color you can pull a kit fairly quickly with just the colors.
Looking at the patterns can also lead you to your kit using florals, chevrons, stars, words, lots of geometrics, small patterns and those large polka dots.
I hope this gives you great ideas to get started! Now go shop your stash we want to see what you pull together.
Here's what we have coming up this month:
- August 4th: We'll have our "Forgery on the Fourth" post where the Master Forgers will reveal how they created their own version of some of the items in this month's kit.
- August 6th: We'll reveal a couple of mini-kits and projects, in case you're a little limited for time this month and would prefer a more petite kit.
- August 12th & 18th: We'll give you two challenges to help you use the kit you've made.
- August 24th: I'll be showcasing one of the CKC community who's caught my eye this month
- August 30th: Another killing kits installment to help us finish off our kits!
We always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us.
You can use our Monthly Link-up page, post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcaugust2020).
Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month!
