May 2021 - Forgeries on the Fourth

Here's a reminder of our kit:

Julene was inspired by the nostalgic feel and the bright colours.

It definitely makes you think of cookery.

There's lots of scope for forgeries here.

Time for our Master Forgers to inspire you.

Our Guest Designer Kyla has come up with these ideas:

I punched out different sizes of circles and scalloped circles. Then adhered them together. Some I added little hearts, some I doodled on, some I stamped on.

I punched out circles in three sizes. Cut in half-ish. Doodled on trim. And stacked at angles.

I used my Sizzix to die cut the word FAMILY and then doodled on a design.

Master Forger Julene had some papers from a set which featured roses. Some were incomplete.

She fussy-cut out the roses and made one sheet of pretty roses similar to the one in the kit.

Master Forger Cindy had to recreate the Yellow Plaid paper in the inspiration kit.

Master Forger Leslie chose a very simple counterfeit - the flower sequins in the card kit using vellum & a punch + her own Foodie stamp set compilation. Easy-peasy!

Master Forger Clair gave us the tip that this super cute kitchen mixer cut file was the free file of the week over at Paige Evans's FB group - Happy Scrappy Place. Wouldn't it be perfect for this kit with its home-cooked farm kitchen feel?

Or what about these free printable baking mixer stickers here

Victoria Thatcher has a baking themed planner set that could easily be used on your cute pages! Check it out here

This link is to make your own veneer effect leaf design earrings. But I bet you could adapt the idea to make your own "veneers" to match your kit in any design you wanted! Why not check it out and give it a go:

Last up, at My Everything and Nothing blog I found some super cute printables with roses and butterflies. While not a perfect match to the inspiration kit, I can imagine them being super cute on page or a card!
