Words have meaning!
As the calendar flips to a new year, many of us embrace the
tradition of choosing a "Word of the Year" — a single word to
inspire, guide, and ground us throughout the months ahead. Whether it’s balance,
growth, or joy, this word reflects your goals, dreams, and
mindset. Why not bring it to life with a scrapbook layout? Choose a word that represents your focus or
hopes for the year and then build a page around it. Photo or no photo – either works!
As a reminder, here is the kit we are inspired by this month : Hip Kit's "Good Things Ahead"
Now let's take a look at
how our Master Forgers took on the challenge.

My Word of the Year is "Adventure". I would love to go on more and new adventures in 2025,
maybe even a cruise. I am excited to see what this year has in store for adventures. I made
this layout for a future adventure for this year. Excited to see every ones word of the year.
Master Forger Julene
I've had a year with bad health including my knee and my heart.
My layout features a quote plus a photo of my chest and an ultrasound photo of my knee.

My Word of the Year is "Harmony". As I get older, I am really looking for alignment between my professional, personal, family, and fun life. For this layout, I focused on the orange-y color scheme and went a bit monochromatic. I did have some music notes in my stash and I added a little black and white. I admit, I fussed around quite a bit with the embellishment placement, but in the end I'm really happy with it.
Now, let's see what we have lined up for the rest of this
month:
- 22nd January - Challenge #3 Sketch Challenge
- 24th January
- Follower Showcase
- 28th January - February Sneak Peek (on Instagram and the Facebook Community)
- 30th January - Challenge #4 Baby, Use Those Scraps Challenge
Did you like this challenge?? I can't wait to see what you do in our Facebook group. See you next time!
XOXO,
Master Forger Christine
