May 2025 - Challenge #2 - Favorite things to do on vacation

Welcome back to the blog. I hope you have been using up the supplies in your kit to tell your stories. If you still need a bit of motivation, we have another idea for you. First let's take a look at our inspiration again.

                                                                       Anywhere but here

For the second challenge this month I want you to document your favorite activity to do when your on vacation, whether your on a vacation, road trip or a cruise document about one of your favorite thing you did. I can't wait to see every ones favorites.

Master Forger Tara created a layout of her favorite thing to do while riding in the car to their vacation destination-READING!!  She has this to say about her layout:

"I wanted to use up some of the scraps that I put into my kit first, so I grabbed the plaid scrap, the navy with light blue dot strip, and the striped paper that she printed from the Inspiration Kit to create a mock L design.  This is one of my go to designs.  From there, I grabbed one of the black chalkboard pocket cards to use as a photo mat and then layered up some of the embellishments from my kit to layer around the photo and title. Right now, it’s picture-less because I created this layout for a trip we haven’t gone on yet!"

Master Forger Christine

Our favorite thing to do on vacation is fly - anywhere!  I am NOT a road trip type of person.  Which is a bit funny coming from a Texan where everywhere seems to be a road trip!  But yes, if I'm going on vacation I want to fly there.  So I documented a picture of an airplane wing (who hasn't taken these types of pics??)

One of our favorite things to do while on vacation is to visit out of the way places while traveling to our planned destination, such as this stop. We visited the Double Eagle Trading Co. in Williams, AZ. It's a small town in Northern Arizona, south of Grand Canyon National Park. I used map themed Thicker letters to create my title, Scenic Side Stops. I stamped and fussy cut the flowers. Since this particular time we were traveling in an RV, I thought it fitting that I had a car towing a camper embellishment. The papers came from a 6x8 paper pad that was in my kit.
