What speaks to you the most? Is it the blues, greens, and yellows? Is it the pinks, oranges, and goldenrod? Maybe you love those fluffy flowers or the gingham or that typewriter? Whatever it is, you can build a whole kit from the elements that speak to you the most! As a reminder here is the kit we are using for inspiration: Color Me Happy.
You can approach building your kit in a variety of ways - focus on the parts that speak to you and make you feel inspired. Otherwise, the kit will just sit, unused, like you never pulled your kit to begin with - and that's not we want! We want to see your creative juices flowing!
When I went to pull my kit, I knew that I was drawn to the wide range of colors. I looked at this image:
. . . and I chose to focus on the dark blue, the avocado, the goldenrod with yellows, and the pink. So I started pulling a wide range of those colors from my stash.
As I pulled, I realized I had a LOT of scraps in those color ranges, too, and decided to through most of those smaller pieces into my kit. Why? Because I could see from this piece that I could use a lot of them up - at least, in some capacity!
Those circles were screaming to me to create a counterfeit and use my scraps to do it! Also, I have an awkward 7x9 paper I get from another kit that had some similar pieces of those spotted papers, so those were also added in.
I also added several plain white cardstock pieces in, as I knew I wanted to counterfit pieces from this image:
Now, this could be one sheet of paper . . . but I viewed this as several papers stacked on top of one another, and wanted to try to recreate a couple of them as individual pieces.
