Been Caught Stealing...Introducing our March 2011 Guest Designer!!!

We are proud to introduce our March 2011 Guest Counterfeiter, Sherri!  She will be playing along this month, making a Counterfeit Kit of her own, and joining in the mini challenges.  We are very excited to showcase some of her work throughout the month of March 2011.  And now, to get to know her a little better we will let her introduce herself...

"My name is Sherri Thompson.  I am 34 years old and happily married to my best friend, Donny.  We are the parents of two teenagers: our daughter, Jordan, is 15 and our son, Ryan, will be 14 this month.  I am proud to say that I am a recent college graduate!  In December, I earned my degree in Elementary Education.  I hope to teach in the K-3 range when I have my own classroom, but until then I am enjoying subbing and having a little extra time to get crafty!

I started scrapbooking after my son was born in 1997.  I had never heard of scrapbooking, but I went to a Creative Memories class and was quickly hooked!  I started scrapping 12x12 layouts, then switched to 8.5x11.  Now I do a combination of the two.  I make 12x12 layouts for my mother's scrapbook and 8.5x11 layouts for me.  I haven't scrapbooked as much since getting hooked on my new favorite craft, stamping and cardmaking.  I started cardmaking in 2004, and I quickly became addicted.  I am slowly starting to scrapbook again thanks to my Counterfeit Kits!

I have taught scrapbooking and cardmaking classes for several years and have had the opportunity over the past year to be a part of several design teams.  My cards have also been published in PaperCrafts, CARDS, and CREATE magazines and online at ScrapStreet, Scrapbooking.com, and Scrapbook News & Review.  I feel so fortunate to have met some wonderful friends through my papercrafting, both in real life and online.
Besides papercrafting, I love to cook and bake (although I hate to clean the kitchen after!), read, surf the web, and go camping with my family.  Winter is my favorite time of year here in Maine-love me a good ol' Nor'easter!  I also love to shop for scrapbooking supplies, which I tend to hoard.  Just another reason why I'm so happy to have found the Counterfeit Kit Challenge!  I hope you will all check out my blog at http://www.sherrithompson.blogspot.com."

Welcome, Sherri, we are very excited to have you "counterfeiting" with us!!!
