Hello December! A month full of....

It is December!  For me that means family, friends and LOTS of activities!  We excited to fill the month with a lot of memories as a family.

At our house, we do a countdown to Christmas.  I have a countdown calendar and we do something special each day in December.

We have created something special for YOU for each day this month...December Daily Challenges!  Every day this month you will find a challenge created by a design team member to inspire you.  Feel free to share on Mr. Linky and have a wonderful month of creating.  We will be back in January with a brand new kit to counterfeit to get the year started off right!

I'm up first with a simple, but impacting challenge to use on your next project.

Bethany's Challenge:  Split your embellishments!  Take an embellishment you want to use (flower, chipboard, shape, tag...) and cut it in half.  Use the halves to tuck into different clusters, layers or even a photo.

I love this concept for a variety of reasons!
1.  It helps to stretch your supplies
2.  It allows you to work on creating a visual triangle
3.  Cutting apart an embellishment and using it on the edge of a page adds visual interest

Here are a few examples I found:

Merci Tiara (my favorite process videos!) loves to cut up her pieces and spread them throughout the page...

Have fun and I hope December is a wonderful month for you!  Thank you so much for getting excited, involved and following our site!
