Welcome to "Forgeries on the Fourth" where it is no crime to create your own version of the trendy, hip products from the inspiration kit using your own stash and ingenuity.  Each month on the fourth, check out tutorials from your Master Forgers or links to resources they have found for you on the internet.

Before we get into the forgeries and taking a look at this month's inspiration,  you may have noticed that our post has a bit of a face lift.  We strive to keep things fresh and fun here along with the new look of the blog.  A special thanks to Master Forger, Lesley G. for allowing us to use the catchy "Forgeries on the Fourth" phrase and graphic that she created last month in her reveal post.  Unfortunately, Lesley has stepped down from her Master Forger duties for now, but we all hold out hope that she will return when life settles down a bit.  She always provided excellent leadership, inspiration, forgeries, feedback and friendship to the Counterfeit Kit Challenge team and readership. Thank you from the bottom of our scrappy hearts!  The door is always open for your return.  Hugs!

Let's Get Down to Some Forging!

Janine, this month's guest designer, created two clever forgeries. 

These frames were cut with a die and are inspired by the Studio Calico
Hey Day Stickers.  I bet many of you have this die or one similar!

And, she got really clever with this one...

Solid cream with black tiny type alphas were stamped with a wood grain stamp
to mimic the ones in the inspiration kit.  So simple and so effective!

Master Forger Margie got crafty with her stash and counterfeited one of the papers and a few of the embellishments- here's a peek at the beginning, head over to her blog to see the final results:
