Getting to know us...Interview Style! Welcome Clair and Kelly!

I truly have the BEST team.  Where else could you find a talented, fun, supportive group of crafters who work FOR FREE for the love of the concept and of crafting.  I don't know how I became so incredibly lucky.

Last month we had a Master Forger Search to add some new designers to our team.  We had so many wonderful entries that it was almost impossible to narrow it down (and quite a few split votes...seriously...we were all over the place).  We are welcoming THREE new Master Forgers in October and I wanted to take the time this month to introduce them to you, as well as have a fun chat with our other Master Forgers.  We will "interview" 2 a day for the next few days, so make sure you check back in.  You won't want to miss one!

Bethany:  How did you hear about Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog?  How long have you been playing along with us?
Clair:  I can't remember how I first heard about the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog, but I am thrilled that I did! I had to have a little dig around in my blog archives to find out how long I've been playing along and can't quite believe that I fell in love with the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog and created my first Counterfeit Kit in February 2011

Bethany: What inspires you to scrapbook?
Clair: I first fell in love with scrapbooking when I was suffering from depression. Telling my story, in my own words, combined with such a wonderfully creative outlet kept me sane and allowed me to focus on the small, happy moments that happen in the everyday.

Now, like most scrapbookers, I like to scrap about my friends and family, hobbies and holidays. But I still like to include some of those 'everyday happy' moments too!

Bethany:  Give a shout out to your personal favorite kit club company!
Clair: I used to spend a lot of time swooning at kits from Studio Calico and Noel Mignon but, since I started following CKC I haven't bothered looking at the kit companies as much. I now buy cute papers and embellishments that take my fancy instead. I'm a real convert. (I would have made an exception for Sodalicious - if they had offered kits though - I loved everything they made!)

Bethany:  Do you have a favorite supply or technique?
Clair: I'm fairly certain that the technique I use most often is stitching - either by hand or by machine. It's become a major element of what I consider to be 'my style'. I also adore Sassafras Alphas (I bought a massive selection of them before Sassafras was bought out by Studio Calico. You'll often see them in my Counterfeit Kits.

Bethany:  Other than paper crafts, what other crafty or creative things do you like to do?
Clair: I have liked most of the crafts that I've tried but, other than paper-crafting, the one that I have stuck with and love the most is beading. I love working with teeny, tiny seed beads to create classic, delicate jewellery. I have taught several classes, entered a few competitions and have my own (small) collection of tutorials which I sell in my little etsy store, Obstinate Pursuit

Bethany:  Time to dish!  What is something that our readers would never in a million years guess about you?
Clair: When I was in my early twenties my feet shrank from a UK Size 6 to a UK Size 4! I still have no idea why ;)

Bethany:  How did you hear about Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog?  How long have you been playing along with us?
Kelly: I heard about the Counterfeil Kit Challenge Blog earlier this year. I have been playing along since June.

Bethany: What inspires you to scrapbook?
Kelly: My photographs! I see these tiny slices of my family's life and I cannot wait to put the pictures together with some pretty products and tell a little piece of our story. For design inspiration, I look to my favorite blogs and use fun sketches.

Bethany:  Give a shout out to your personal favorite kit club company!
Kelly: Right now I am loving the main kit from Citrus Twist Kits!

Bethany:  Do you have a favorite supply or technique?
Kelly: My favorite supply by far has to be pretty patterned paper. I love to mix and match papers to create my layouts.

Bethany:  Other than paper crafts, what other crafty or creative things do you like to do?
Kelly: I love photography and writing.

Bethany:  Time to dish!  What is something that our readers would never in a million years guess about you?
Kelly: Hmmmm, let me see . . . probably the fact that my most favorite movie of all time is The Terminator (the original one). I first saw it at a friend's house when I was about 14 and have loved it ever since!
