Document December with Clair: My Kit

Well, hello! This month each of the Master Forgers is sharing their own 'Document December' kit and a little sneak at what we've been making with them.

I shared one of the kits that I'm using to Document December, when we started December Planning in our November Challenge #3. (You can see the full kit, and my inspiration for creating a non-traditional kit, by visiting my blog.)

After creating that kit, I knew that I wanted another one - with a modern twist on traditional. I started with a broad colour scheme in mind - black, white/cream, red, navy, turquoise and silver/grey.

I only found one sheet of themed patterned paper, but it ties in very well with the glittery, foam sheets that I found in red and turquoise. I also found an amazing sheet from Sodalicious that looks like snow!

I've added in an absolute ton of embellishments (well, a ton for me, okay? I know I'm usually a bit minimal!) including two sets of American Crafts Thickers in a beautiful navy blue, Lily Design ABC Stickers, 10 Medium Red Envelopes, 5 Small Red Envelopes, Pocket Cards, Buttons, 4 'Nordic' Washi Tapes, Sequins, Paperclips, Pins and a massive stack of stickers and die-cuts that are winter, holiday or family themed. There's a set of holiday themed stamps as well!

Oh, and, I seem to have forgotten to mention both that amazing sparkly reindeer (which is actually a tree decoration) and the small-ish selection of mix and match embellishments that I didn't manage to photograph with the full kit.

You'll be able to see some of my kit 'in action' tomorrow, when I share some sneeks of my Document December project!

Have you been inspired to make your own kit? Or have you counterfeited one of ours? Whatever you've been busy doing during December, we would love to see it, so please add the details to our Mr. Linky and we'll stop by to say hello.

  1. Oh, Clair... your unexpected color scheme is really stunning! Can't wait to see where those pops of saturated color turn up. Your embellis are a treasure chest of inspiration as well. Some fab stuff in there! Textured snowflakes, fanciful deer, and that intriguing pile of paper ephemera is just up my alley.

  4. You've got such beautiful colors in your kit Clair! A bit non-traditional but definitely festive, especially with the addition of the sparkle paper and all those holiday embellishments.

  5. I love your super (for me) minimal selection of products that are put together so perfectly and will no doubt make the most beautiful Christmas mini! Love the mix of colours, textures, shapes and ideas you have here
