June 2018 - Forgery on the Fourth

Just a reminder for you about our kit this month that we've picked to be inspired by. The May Hip Kit Club main kit or any of the add ons - Paper Pocket page Embellishments / Cardstock Colour kit

May Hip Kit Club kit here

I think there might be quite a lot of fun to be had recreating the watercolour effect papers, paper piecing your own tweety birds, die cutting words and summer motifs or even putting together your own fun and funky rosettes.

But I'm sure that you see other items to "forge" too!

Let's see what our ever talented Master Forgers have tried for themselves, shall we?

Clair, who is delighting us all at the moment with her {Killing Kits Series} each 15th and 30th of the month has made a paper that was inspired by the scallop pattern in the Hip Kit Club kit. I know that we usually show the whole forgery in this post but this time around, you'll have to make sure you come back on the 15th to see the full effect! I've had a sneak and it's gorgeous!

I've tracked down some ideas for making your own paper rosettes similar to those in the original kit.

This link is in German but the pretty rosettes are make out of cupcake papers and I think they are really pretty so I'm sure you can work out the instructions if your German is a bit rusty!
This is a pretty selection of "paper pops" that are super cute and easy to make. http://lorrieeverittstudio.blogpot.com http://lorrieeverittstudio.blogspot.com/2011/12/paper-pops-tutorial-and-my-holiday.html

Here are some very sweet printable glasses which you could use instead of the whole sheet of glasses design paper

And some printable birds and feathers - always useful for a little birdie embellishment!
And a whole summer collection of papers!

As always, make sure you give some love to the wonderful designers online who give these types of printables to us for free and make sure you give them credit if you post them online!

Cindy pulled out her punches, dies, die cutting machines and used Word to make these forgeries. You can find how she did on her blog here.

Lori pulled out her dies and punches to make a forgery of the Wild At Heart Stand Out stickers. She also used some banner dies to create a forgery of the sheet of banner stickers that can be found in the Project Life Kit. You can read more about it on her blog here.

Here's Leslie (for posterity as my connections on holiday failed) with a late entry!
Cameras instead of eyeglasses for the Crate Paper Wild at Heart Daze.

Read more about it HERE

We love seeing how the simplest of ideas can make the prettiest elements for your kit. Why not give one of our ideas a try and join in the fun!

Don't forget to come back again on 6th for some mini-kit inspiration as well as the challenges on 12th and 18th.

If you create any of your own forgeries, make sure you share with us! We love to see your creations and projects.  You can do this by using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitchallenge and share with #counterfeitchallenge )

Thanks for joining us this month and I can't wait to see what you make,

Lisa
