Challenge #2 - Getting Twisty and Sketchy
Continuing to use Citrus Twist Kits as our inspiration this time around, use this gorgeous Citrus Twist Sunday Sketch from 22nd April 2018 as inspiration for your project.
Place your own "twist" on it by rotating it, reversing, mirroring, turning it upside down, making it smaller or just doing your own "thing" to it - just don't use it as is!

I know that sketches are really popular with our Master Forgers as well as our followers, so I'm really curious to see how we all interpret this fabulous sketch!
Guest Designer Alex has this to say about her take on the sketch:
"Remember the leaf cut file forgery from last month? I have no idea why I thought it would work with this sketch, but here it is!
The sketch was a good match for the photo and after working through such a labour intensive layout for a less that “perfect” photo in terms of composition etc, I can safely say it was 100% worth it.
I don’t do these sorts of layouts often and save them for my most special photos. Yes this is one of them!"
You can read all about it over on her blog here |
Leslie tipped the sketch over & documented her 61st birthday last month!
Read more about it on her blog HERE |
Laura turned the sketch once clockwise and turned a 12x12 sketch into a 8.5x11 layout to document her son's new found love of Lego!
Tina turned the sketch once counterclockwise
And I managed to make this layout by rotating it 90° to the right.
I really liked the small formal photos and the chance to add journalling to the layer in between. I picked out coordinating papers from my kit to make a layout that compliments the colours in the photos and added a hint of pink (ink and a tiny scrap of paper) to give it a little extra something. As I write this it's in the middle of the night so if I can, I'll add a corresponding blog post to my personal blog with a couple of detail shots and some extra info tomorrow morning!
Would you know that all five layouts featured here came from the same sketch? Personally, I love how differently they all turned out. Why not give this sketch a try yourself and let us know how you twisted the sketch for yourself :-)
We're heading to the end of the month now but there's still a couple of items to make sure you don't miss! forget that there's more to expect as November goes on so don't miss any of it!
- 28th November - find out what we are up to for December inspiration!
- 30th November - {Killing Kits Series} to help you make the most of those kits, right to the very last scraps!
We love seeing your work, so be sure to share your kits and projects with us. You can do this by using the Link-Up page here on the blog, posting in the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook Community Group or on Instagram (find us @counterfeitchallenge and share with #counterfeitchallenge )
