May 2020 - Challenge #2 - Weave a Tale

For this second challenge let’s try something fun! If you’ve been using your kit this month you have already been cutting your papers. Choose 5-6 random papers & cut a few strips. Weave the strips together to create a background, accent, or element for your page! There are examples below to inspire you.
Create a simple loosely woven backdrop for your photos.

Hand or die cut your woven piece into a themed shape.
Don't be afraid of color!
The example on the left has an interesting twist - vertical slits were cut into the background paper & then horizontal strips were woven into them!

Let's take a look at what some of our Master Forgers did with this challenge:

Master Forger Tracey Campbell couldn't resist using her woven paper cut into hearts in this layout of her husband and daughters having a tickle party. Such a sweet moment.

Master Forger Tara created a 12" x 6" woven paper and also cut one into a heart and created an embellishment with mica chips glued around the edge and some chipboard phrases in the center.  She has more about her layout on her own blog, so check it out here.

Master Forger Laura chose some lovely photos to adorn the lovely weaving she created for her background. Digital weaving took a bit of working out but I think I've done it!

No photo description available.

Master Forger Tina did a more whimsical weave for her layout

Great work! Now your turn :D
