Welcome back today for Just the Gist of It where we hope to help you find a starting point for creating your kit.
Here's a reminder of our inspiration for July: New Episode by Paper Person
There are so many starting points you could choose but I'm going to go classic today and head for the gorgeous colour scheme/s you can find in the kit.
I used the palette generator offered at Coolors and came up with these three palettes.
Each one is so appealing for different reasons but personally, I think no.1 might be my favourite! It's got the gorgeous bright blue that originally caught my eye as well as the mint and peach that definitely jump out at me.
This one is more muted and highlights the soft blue-greys and sage greens. I could really imagine using this as a starting point...
And then this last one picks out the stronger green as well as the soft lemon which I also adore!
I could have generated ten more palettes from this month's kit but I think three is probably enough to give you a starting point. 😉
What do you think? Will you use one of my palettes or maybe create one of your own.
And of course, as always, we have a full month of inspiration to keep you inspired!
The rest of July is going to look something like this:
- 4th July: Forgery on the Fourth - Master Forgers share simple ideas for creating kit elements
- 6th July: Mini-kit Reveal and Project Showcase - inspiration for a smaller kit or project idea
- 12th & 18th July: Challenges #1 & #2 - to inspire you to get creating from your own kit
- 24th July: Follower Showcase - who has caught our eye this month
- 31st July: Killing Kits - an idea or two for using up the bits & pieces left in your kit box
You KNOW that we always love to see your work, so please share your kits and projects with us. You can post them in our Facebook Community, or share them on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcjuly2021).
Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see your kits and projects this month.
