November 2021 - Follower Showcase

It's that time of the month when I get to showcase one of our talented followers who's caught my eye this month - I love it this job! 

Scrolling through the Counterfeit Kit Challenge Facebook community this week, I was surprised at finding several newbies with their first ever counterfeit kit of their own! It's so great to see people taking that first step into bringing their own supplies that they love together into a kit inspired by the original kit we present each month. I was determined to showcase one of these new kittens... but how to choose! They are all great and of course I'd love to highlight them all. 

However, this month my showcased follower is Evelyn Rios who pulled together this fabulous first time kit. She's been a member of our community for a long time but just took the plunge this month and we love it!

When I contacted Evelyn, she told me:

"The [... Counterfeit Kit Challenge] blog post was extremely helpful with guiding me on how to bring in my stash and make a coordinating kit for myself. While making the kit I kept in mind the layouts I want to create and the pictures I might use and picked the pattern paper 1st, then the embellishments and stickers and thickers and kept in mind that I would need it to coordinate in order to make layouts using just this kit. I also took out embellishments and stickers that I knew I wanted to use. Once I had a solid foundation of the pages and colors finding lil tidbits to add came easy and I got excited with the pages I could make. I love kits for that purpose that everything coordinates so I kept that in mind."

Evelyn also shared some of the layouts she's already made with her kit! It just makes me so happy to see our followers finding the love of kitting and then creating pages that capture precious memories - this is the reason we do this. 

Great job Evelyn and we can't wait to see more in the months to come!
