October 2022 - Challenge #2 - Go Big or Go Home!

My personal favorite :D

It’s no gamble to set your sights on a large element on your page to emphasize your story! Check out these examples in the “Get It Scrapped Ideas for Oversized Embellishments on Scrapbook Pages”

Guest Designer Nikki:

Challenge number two was a little tricky. I was racking my brain to figure out what "big" embellishment that I could use with my vintage kit. So I started flipping through my metal die binder and came to the last page. The 3D typewriter is definitely my largest die set. So I let it guide my story. Bonus: I used the die set for the first time! You can check out my story here: https://youtu.be/dLHkglrU0eI

Master Forger Tara really loved the idea of this challenge. There are so many ways to feature a large element on your layouts! She chose to create a large title from a Bella BLVD cutfile (available in the Silhouette Design Store online).

You can see more information about Tara's layout on her blog HERE.

MF Lisa decided to go large on her photo! It's a technique she loves, but just doesn't do often enough - therefore the nudge with this challenge was greatly appreciated! A photo taken just this morning was calling out for the big treatment and therefore the layout practically made itself. With a large photo, there is not always the need for lots of decorations or lengthy journalling as you can see. And such pretty paper as this much hoarded treasured CratePaper, just needed a couple of frames, come glitter dots and a simple sticker to feel complete. This layout has a slightly vintage feel to it simple with the supplies chosen but it felt perfect with the simplicity of the photo.

You can find more over on her blog here.

MF Misty created an oversized photo frame for her Forgery on the Fourth project and put it to use for today's challenge!
