Welcome to December and to a new month at the Counterfeit Kit Challenge.
Are you ready for Christmas?
Do you have a GINORMOUS list of things to get done before the big day but somehow ALSO want to carve a little creative time for yourself among all the festivities?
Perhaps you are recording your December in one of the daily journalling ways - December Daily, Journal Your Christmas or other methods - but still want to do some regular scrapbooking?
As always, we are shaking things up round here and will not be doing our normal routine in December - come back on 1st January for a new year and new month of our regular kit and schedule.
Instead, we'd like to offer you "The 12 Days of Christmas".
We'll be posting over on the blog (here) so make sure you head here every day so you don't miss out on the inspiration we are offering.
Starting tomorrow and running through to 25th December, we will take each line of the famous song to offer you a scrapbook related way to interpret the line.
The prompt will help you with a journalling idea which you can interpret in any way you like - make a page, incorporate the idea into your own December journalling or mini-book, write a story, take a photo - the idea is to offer you a jumping off point for wherever your creativity is taking you in December. We also offer a technique prompt for some extra fun!
On the next day, one of our intrepid Master Forgers will offer you their take on the challenge for your inspiration.
So the challenge on one day and the Design Team inspiration on the next.
Easy, right? Fun, huh? Doable, isn't it?
😉 We thought you'd like it!
We'd love it if you'd join in. As always you can share kits, layouts and projects with us in our Facebook Community, or tag us over on Instagram (we are @counterfeitkitchallenge or tag us using #counterfeitkitchallenge and #ckcdecember2022 and #ckc12daysofchristmas).
Thanks so much for stopping by! We can't wait to see you playing along with our festive fun this month.
**************************************
If you want to see if you can guess what direction our challenges and prompts will go, have a think about each line of the song below. We'd love to know if you come up with the same ideas as us!
"On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Twelve drummers drumming
Eleven pipers piping
Ten lords a-leaping
Nine ladies dancing
Eight maids a-milking
Seven swans a-swimming
Six geese a-laying
Five golden rings
Four calling birds
Three french hens
Two turtle doves, and
A partridge in a pear tree"
Thanks and see you back here tomorrow!
