Today, the Master Forgers are back to show you how to make your own embellishments for your kit using the inspiration kit as a guide!!
Let's have another look at the inspiration kit:

This
feature is all about the fun of having a go at making up your own
embellishments or re-creating the papers as a way of getting the same
look as the inspiration kit even if you don't have any of the original
items. These tutorials are
often so simple and easy that it really is a perfect chance to try out
an idea or two. Make sure you share if you do, we love it when are
motivated to give it a go!
Now it's time to see what our talented team
have come up with - this is always such an inspiration for me. The
Master Forgers often create things that would just not have crossed my
mind.
Master Forger Misty is here with her own die cut ephemera pack! She wanted to include some of the cozy icons in the embellishment package but didn't have any of her own. So, she sorted through her collection of stamps and found images from a range of companies that could be used to forge a set of die cuts. If you want to learn more about her thought process on creating your own full pack of ephemera, be sure to check out her video [[coming soon]].
Hope you have been inspired to get to your space and make something beautiful to go along with your kit this month.
If you are not up for creating your own ephemera, I just noticed that the Scrapbook & Cards Today company has a new freebie that is absolutely perfect for forging the die cuts. Check it out, and then go grab it
on their page.
Master Forger Tara also created some of the fancy frames using her Cameo. Here are the cutfile design numbers from the Silhouette Design Store :
Blue Frame - Design #1858
Coral Frame - Design # 153031
Pink Frame - Design #8013
The first paper that caught Master Forger Laurie’s eye was the navy paper with multicolored snowflakes. She created her own by stamping snowflakes in various sizes using Versamark watermark ink randomly on navy card stock. She then applied embossing powder in white, silver and red, then used a heat gun to set it. If embossing powder is too messy for you an alternative is to just use a white pigment ink to stamp snowflakes all over your card stock.
Master Forger Tina
Those holographic snowflakes caught her attention and was able to make a quick forgery with some holographic paper from one of Shimelle's collection and a snowflake punch for a nice pile of snowflakes to use this month.
