June 2024 - Forgeries on the Fourth

Hello! It's the fourth of June and that means it's time to share our Forgeries on the Fourth with you! Let's take a look at our inpiration kit again:

This feature is all about the fun of having a go at making up your own embellishments or re-creating the papers as a way of getting the same look as the inspiration kit even if you don't have any of the original items.

These tutorials are often so simple and easy that it really is a perfect chance to try out an idea or two. Make sure you share, if you do, we love to see it. We hope you're motivated to give it a go!

Now it's time to what our talented team has come up with - this is always such an inspiration for me. The Master Forgers often create things that would just not have crossed my mind.

Master Forger Misty is up first.

I created multiple forgeries as is typical for me. I'm very pleased with how they turned out. You'll have to  look through all the inspiration images carefully to see where I got my ideas from!

I'm here with a few forgeries I made for this month. The sunburst paper in the inspiration kit really caught my eye. I cut out a cut file using my Silhouette and used as a stencil.

The florals also caught my attention. Using some stamps and black ink I stamped the images onto patterned paper and cut them out. So simple.

I also made a "Ray of Sunshine" paper using the Cricut Cartridge, with more detail on my blog.

Master Forger Ryann

I liked that sunburst paper, too!  She inked, stamped, and made her forgery - it's more green and yellow, but it turned out pretty fun!

She also wanted to have a piece that had the pattern on it - it's more fish scales, but with inking and splattering, it came out pretty close to how she wanted.

Additionally, Queen Purge's challenge to use her embossing folders came up with this last forgery -
Just a few scraps of the right color, and it's sure to make something fun - maybe some flowers or even a mat for a photo.
