February 2026 Challenge #2 Birthday Blessings!

Hey - welcome back for our second challenge! Birthday Blessings -it's my birthday month and I want to Celebrate! For this challenge, make sure your document a birthday tradition in your house! Do you do cake and candles? Presents? Get to choose the meal? Something else creatively different? Show us a tradition that you do to celebrate yours or someone else's birthday!

As a reminder this is the kit we are counterfeiting this month -- from The Scrap Room's Flavor of the Month and embellishment kits from January 2024.

MF Misty

Misty has a tradition of creating slideshows for the birthday person and she documents her latest efforts in this layout.

I am sharing a layout I created celebrating my husband's 48th birthday.  I made his birthday special that year by making him a pumpkin pie instead of cake for his birthday.  Pumpkin pie is his favorite and with his birthday being so close to Thanksgiving, it was an easy choice to celebrate him.

I didn't have birthday related items in my kit this month, so I made some rosettes from the papers in my kit with a die that I have. I also used my Cameo to cut some balloons out of my patterned papers and a title from orange cardstock.  I did dig into my stash for a matching alpha to finish off my title and add the number 48 to the layout as well.

MF Vikki

One tradition that I've done since my son was born was taking his birthday photo.  This has proven difficult in some years because he's not one for having his picture taken.  Luckily he was agreeable this year.

We have a full month of inspiration and challenges.  See you back here on the 22nd for the Sketch Challenge!
