Uses for chipboard shapes...
- Using chipboard to make your own embossing folders.
- Different ways to embellish raw chipboard.
- A few other ideas could be to cover the chipbaord shape with fabric, burlap, or strips of ribbon. You could even stitch the edges down with a decorative stitch, such as a zig-zag stitch.
- Cover the shape with border stickers, as seen in this video from Two Peas in a Bucket...Border Stickers (see minute 1:00)

I had forgotten all about that crackle paint. I love the ribbon wings on these birds. The border embellies are also a great idea!

ReplyDeleteummmm...I like the border sticker thing, but I don't think I have any in my stash, BUT I could use edge punches...off to play
ReplyDeleteWhat a great resource if you don't have any of the bird chipboard pieces! I absolutely love the hand made embossing folder! What a great technique!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the birdie templates. I didn't have anything close and couldn't draw one either. I love the ideas. I use the Cuttlebug folders to emboss with a rolling pin and can't wait to cut out some birds and try it. I also want to cut some paper strips for them too. I love the ribbon wings. I think this whole counterfeit idea is so cool. I'm altering some of the first papers I bought in 1998 for this kit and making a lot of my own embellies. Everyone is making such neat kits and layouts. Thanks for all you are doing. So much fun! Janie
