Tutorial-Counterfeit Baker's Twine

Jilli Bean Soup Baker's Twine
I LOVE baker's twine.  I REALLY want to order one of those great multi-color packs from etsy.com.  But I need to make a serious dent in my current stash of ribbons and fibers first.   Here are a few ideas for making your own Baker's Twine (for those of us trying to use what we have)...

American Crafts Velvet Scalloped Ribbon in "Sunflower"

This cute piece of yellow velvet ribbon in this month's inspiration kit.  Here is an interesting idea to create you own "velvet ribbon look" by using flock.

  1. These are fantastic! I have that Jillibean twine in my kit but now I can save so much money and create the colors I want.

  2. I'll try a couple of these ideas tonight. I have some flock but never really figured out how to use it - that video gave me a couple of ideas. Thanks!

  3. I love the fun ideas for making your own bakers twine!! I've tried making my own fun flock, but I used tiny bits of felt fiber, instead of paper.

  4. I also have a bunch of flock (hmmm, wonder where I put that). Time to get it out and look at it again.

  5. Ooh, I'd definitely recommend the first Bakers' Twine link - such a clever idea, but so simple! I have now got a new blog to follow too! Thank you!
